Hello to you all.

Finally there is work going on for completing a FAQ document regarding errorcodes and FAQ's asked around the forums.

I will continue working on this document and am hoping that you all will contribute to make this really come forward as a real FAQ document.

Any suggestions is welcome.

Attached is the very first release, alpha alpha version yet.

Best of regards, Niclas

Hi there Bernie

I do understand what you are saying and about the 6310i, do you mean the java midlets and that have to be in a specific folder?

I will look more into the cable thing and try to lurk out what cable goes where and the thing with adsp flashing. Looking for information about that right now.

Hello DeDaMrAz

I do not mind at all, in fact this is splendid work.

Hope that more people engage in this work to get a FAQ finally done for Griffin as this will make life easier for us all. Especially new users but also older.

So, let's all keep up the good work and get this going.

hi

what did u mean with {FAQ} ?

Nic
3rd August 2004, 18:35
Hello Kamel 007

It's a worlwide known abbreviation for "Frequently
Asked Questions"

This is a document that all new and old users of, in this case, Griffin should have read through. Especially new users that have questions regarding the use of Griffin because there is always a certain amount of questions asked that already have been answered hundreds of times before. Just the same thing with the search tool. By using the search tool before you ask a question in the forums you will in the most cases find the answer yourself.

Nic

@DeDaMrAz

I do think that you should take some credits too since you're actually helping with the FAQ.

And to all others, you're all welcome to contribute too.

Is there in the FAQ section about the safety updates, and which download site is trusted and which not?

Nic
2nd October 2004, 14:30
@lavazen

Good point
I have only reffered to a few forums and will look them over to see that they are correct.
The forums there is indeed very trustable as this forum is also mentioned.
Those who I have written in there is just some examples of the forums around the world and in my eyes the biggest also.

What do you mean by saftey updates?

Further more, if you're going to download updates or other files for Griffin, the safest place to download updates is from griffinteam.net since it is the home of the box. There are also other places like griffinbox.com and griffinonline.net

i read on certain sites the the box should come with 20 or so cables for most nokia phones.

I counted 16 cables that would work on about 30 or so phones. What about the other 4 cables are they not in usage at the moment.

Also according to the FAQ it runs on a pararllel port right. Do most modern laptops still run parallel ports still?

I'm going to buy a box soon and i';m gathering as much info as i can by skimming thru this forum. are they are forums i can join to learn more about flashing phones that are free. according the screenshots i viewed everything is pretty basic knowledge. Nothing seem too hard. i'm mainly interested in flashing phones. If i pick up the file from this forum and setup everything right with the cables and box i shouldn;t have any major issues with it if i apply common sense and general knowledge of cell phones right?
