Wow all this really add colours and life to our N900, kudos! I'm so sad with Nokia abandoning N900 and coming out with N9 so quickly...also our limited support of impressive top notch games...there are tonnes of games in the repositories, but most of them are quite dull honestly....With the WebOS, life definitely gets better! when i try to instal any games in deb say instalation failed .but i have then the icon and when i try it hepen nothing.help

can anyone tell me if there is any way to use keyboard as a controller or as a partial controller(means both touch and keyboard works simultaneously like quake 3). so that the games like can NOVA and Earthworm Jim can be played easily. i dont see any way to use run and jump together in these 2 games as the touch screen is resistive resulting lack of multitouch. or may b there is some other ways too. plz help.

Preenv is in extras-devel, so you have to enable that repository before installing anything.

No I don't think so.
Problem 1: Apple iOS is not fully linux based and uses other drivers
Problem 2: Apple patents, copyrights and copy-protections like programm signatures and licences make it nearly impossible to use programs with other Operating Systems (WebOS is open source and linux based)

Those are scripts to enable you to use the keyboard instead of touchscreen. Very useful for games that require multitouch. To run it just go in xterm, locate the script and press enter to execute it.

Eg: /home/user/MyDocs/myscript.sh

1.type cd /opt/preenv/usr/palm/applications/com.ea.app.nfsuc/res_nfsuc and enter
2.type chmod 777 res_nfsuc and enter
3.type chmod 777 gamesave and enter
4.type chmod 777 gamesett and enter

nothing happens,i cant save game

For the keyboard fix:can i do this without memory card?

Speedforge does not work well. When I try to play the image gets streched and you can't do anything but close the game.

*UPDATE*

Unfortunately dungeon hunter does not work on maemo/preenv.
it crashes on startup with segmentation fault. as such unless this error gets fixed in later versions of preenv a .deb or any version wont be available.

the game does however work on nitdroid (android os) on n900 so it can still be played that way...

installing nitriod + games does this make the phone slow anyway ill just wait for other games

you need preenv 0.16 to run crusade .earlier versions wont work i think...

there is an .sh script for this upside down issue but i havent found it yet though apparently you can use this script in xterm which was posted at maemo.org...


gconftool-2 --set --type int /apps/preenv/Worms/screen_rotation 1or this screen shows option to flip screen within game.

maybe you can check if its out for palm or get it on android using nitdroid...

if being fixed is a question you must ask over on tal.maemo as they are the people actually developing preenv and thus making games work...

rar file says incorrect password when opening with xarchiver

tested pass on pc and works ok , remember lowercase for any letters in pass, i dont use xarchiver so cant check using that. ok on pc though...

Tilestorm lite runs well, it`sa pity it is only lite version, beamout is not working via wgames, receiving error while creating icon.

I can't get past opening screen, when it says "scroll to continue" or something

Anyway, is there any way how to unlock additional levels in angry birds rio? i have unlocked only two of six tiers of levels.

as far as i know they will be released on a time frame rather than a completion basis , i think rovio will schedule releases of the level packs...

i cant play angrybirds seasons. iinstalled the game like i installed angry birds rio HD. followed this commands:

go to home/opt/preenv/lib and you find file called "libSDL_mixer-1.2.so.0.10.1"

symlink to it and call the symlink file "libSDL.so"

i did on pc with winscp so cant give xterm codes but it does work [Only registered and activated users can see links]

*UPDATE* This symlink also fixes beyond ynth !! works too now :) once you made the symlink described above,the ynth game will now work :)

password is fine mate, i just checked, you might be copying some "spaces" with it....try typing the password.

awesome ....Now to download all file all u have to do is

go to:
Application manager-Download-ALL-type WebOs a icon will appear of joystick just download it after download u will see its icon in desktop of Nokia N900
after that .IPK file of any game downloaded from here or anywhere else
save ipk file in downloads of mass memory after u download it go to webos icon click it go to the game u downloaded and press download ipk file your game will b installed in easyway



Note:-No need to do any manual stupid stuffs in Xterminal :):nod::devilsmoke:

Everlands works but wrong key mapping. Once I click on the Start of the game..it goes to Option sound setting, and I can't click anything..beside adjusting the sound slider..

my advice, to save all the troubles, install wgames from repo or xterm and download the ipk files manually by searching at google.
wgames is webos game client thats include preenv and other dependencies.
