you lost those manufacture setting on tones, games and graphic because you never tick on CP file (Content Package File).
When you flash or upgrade the firmware, just tick the CP then choose the file.

hi
then you want to say, if i don't select cp i loose all the manufacturer settings?, are not includes in the flash file?
because what i loose are the phone owner settings, like photos, tones etc. not the manufacturer settings that i have after flash.
what do you think?
thanks

When you select the cp file Griffin uploads photos, tones etc. from factory. As it was when you bought the phone. In this way the user photos, tones etc. are erased. To backup the user thiongs you have to select the make backup option on the flashing options of Griffin. In this way after Griffin finishes the flash it will upload again user things as before. Be carefull though because it does not work with all phones and you can loose data. Other program to use to make user back up is pc suite or oxygen phone manager.

hi

i have read in some post, is not necessary to select cp but you say yes, i don't understand, i have flashed several phones and i never selected cp, then, have i loose anything?.
i have read in the griffin manual, i must select cp for java parameters, is that true?.
you say for a user data backup i must use pc suite or oxygen, but is necessary to buy new cables or can i use the griffin cable?
thanks
