Hi mates, I've observed that generally the battery drains quickier when the phone is locked on a 3G (UMTS/WCDMA) carrier than when it's under classic GSM network. Maybe due also to frequent "keepalive" broadcasts on st-by.
Now I suggest you to force your setting to GSM if u're usually not interested on receiving video-calls, and even if your network allow this for your SIM (some carriers pretend you're locked on a 3G when avaiable)
Anyway the issue needs an app able to switch our phone set quickly, without reboot it (like the Nokia setting menu does).
Is it possible by changing on the fly the phone's parameters with Netmonitor program? (Field Test)
Or do we need a new app?
I think it's possible cause phone is able to do it itself when it goes in/out a 3G zone.
Thanks for support
