Sygic Mobile Maps 10 has now been submitted to Nokia Ovi Store as a free update for existing users. Once the update is approved by Nokia Ovi Store team, all current users of Sygic Mobile Maps will be notified to download their free update. Sygic online shop customers of the Maemo app have already received instructions from Sygic Support Team about how to update their application on August 6th.

After the Nokia Ovi Store team approval, Mobile Maps 10 will instantly be available also for the new customers on Nokia Ovi Store. Sygic online shop is featuring Mobile Maps 10 for Maemo devices for the new customers since August 6th. Sygic Mobile Maps 10 for Maemo covers regions of Europe, USA and Canada.

What’s new in Mobile Maps 10:

■The app has a brand new look and feel
■Addition of online sharing of speed traps or road incident locations.
■Navigation to addresses stored in phone’s Contacts is available.
■Scrolling through menus, lists and map zooming supports touch-screen gestures so that no buttons are needed when using Mobile Maps.
■Full support of automatic rotation to portrait mode, and full-screen mode.
■New English, 2 Spanish and Chinese instruction voices added (Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese), Chinese user interface languages (Traditional and Simplified).
■Recent state or country is stored automatically, new destination entry is easier and non-relevant cities from various states will not pop up. If users want to pick a destination from a country other than the one they used the last time, they can just tap Back button on the keyboard to display the list of all available countries.

■Maps have also received an upgrade. Now with more detail, safer and easier navigation.

hello.. please can somebody tell me step by step how i install sygic maps on my n900 for Cyprus?????

Install
1. Install mobile-maps-10_8.1.6-armel.deb
2. Copy Maps (you can use any maps for Sygic 10) and .mlm file to N900/Maps/
3. Copy modifica.pl to N900
4. install rootsh if its not installeted on your n900
5. Run X-Terminal and write:

sudo gainroot
cd /home/user/MyDocs
perl modifica.pl


6: copy the maps to your phone

What is the difference NAFTEQ & TELEATLAS maps for europe? I need just maps for UK for MM 10, is there a link just for that instead of downloading all of europe? Would my MM9 maps work with MM10 if there isnt a seperate link?

I have downloaded the Sygic Mobile Maps 10.16 Maemo With world Collection Of Maps-galedo.1.torrent from the link given above. When i try to install mobile-maps_8.1.6_armel.deb file, i get an error message saying Unable to install 'Mobile Maps 10 - Application'. Can someone please help me in installing this product. I have attached a zip file containing the screenshots.

kvsravindra, is this your fresh (first) installation of MM 10 or you are trying to upgrade/replace earlier version (MM 9)?

R2_D2, this is my first installation of MM10, before this i had MM9 which i uninstalled to install MM10. Please help me in installing MM10.

You need to remove files and folders which were created by MM9. Open File manager and delete these folders: Drive, Res and Maps. Then install MM10.
If you stored some routes in MM9 and want to preserve them for MM10, they're are in Res/itinerary. Save somewhere all files with extension itf. If you also stored some favorite locations, look for upi files in Maps in folder for your country or other countries (if you have some locations from there).

Hi everyone.
Since we dont have argentinian and other southamerican maps for Sygic MM10 and recently I have seen these maps for Aura for android and the iphone wanted to know if there is a way to port them and use them with MM10
