recently from few days my pc makes loud noise (power supply fan is making loud noise at startup)
however, noise lasts for few minutes only and then it runs normal........
i searched on the internet and found that its because of the dust accumulated near the fan........
i tried to clean it with the help of blower, but didn't succeeded.......
i m sure the noise is coming from the smps (power supply)
is this because of dust or something else?

most it comes from worn bearings
this go's for all fans , not only PSU fan
PSU is better not repaired or even opened
if its real bad , buy a new one [ i recommend a stronger one ]
other fans may be replaced
-------------------------------
dust removal is best done with an artist-brush
gently loosen dust without force , avoid force !!
then remove dust with a vacuum-cleaner AT SLOW SPEED
if the fan spins very fast in airstream , it can damage the bearing
also remove dust from cooling fins on cooling-blocks [ same way ]
its a good idea to to this every year orso
dust-buildup blocks airflow

$$$$$$$
it depends on your money
if you can live with the noise , its ok
as long as the fan spins , it cools the PSU
make sure its dust-free , so air can pass freely
if you can effort a new PSU , well , ok too
the reason its noisy when booting = power-usage
most fans are so-called "smart"
the speed increases when needed , [hot temp ] and slows when it can
hope this answers your question
