i NSTALLED THE ATTACHED FILE WITH ALL OPTIONS MARKED AND REPLACED SETTING.SET NOTHING HAPPENED.
PLEASE DESCRIBE WHOLE PROCEDURE...

in the tab view, press the launcher tab and go to the settings....then press the options, you will see an option called "restore original settings" on the left of "exit shell". Press it and load the extracted settings file. I will upload my own settings file soon atm im on mob so plz wait for sometime. =D

@eddicts60 - Bro this is only a MOD for the SPB shell software. You need to install SPB shell on your phone to get this mod. There are no change logs except that the icons have been updated and made similar to sym^3, which was missing in previous version of this mod (which i think hasent been uploaded on the forum yet).
The settings file provides you with the arrangement similar to sym^3, If you want your sym^1 phone to look like a sym^3 device like shown in the screens, install the mod as explained in the guide.

Still incomplete description. Now what I think is correct that we have to install the old version of SPB shell then install above attached file...
Search for old version because newer version doesn't support old skin....
I cant find the old compatible version.. If anyone have, try it.

What happens when you try to load the m.settings file? pop up message saying old skin not supp. ???

I got 3.7.1 635, I installed mod but I could not install the theme :It lets me color pick at the beginning then it gives the error "it can't be installed" at the end of installation progress bar.

Note : I signed the file with freesigner before installation.

So, I installed SPB Shell v.3.7.1, installed the mod, loaded the settings and it looks nothing like the pictures. Thanks a whole bunch

Ok try loading the settings file below and chose the blue wallpaper if you installed it from the sis package....And yes those who think this is a waste of time don't have try it but it works....

And here is the link to the video someone made (from the original thread), the name of the video is a bit misleading, but it only shows the shell in action with the loaded settings :hifive:....

NOTE-- Also for your screen to look exactly the same you need to have the same app and widgets installed like the battery nokia widget shown if you don't have these apps how will the shell show their shortcuts????? :forsaken:

You have to sign it to install it, this can be done by getting your certificate and key.....

if you had installed the spb shell then you would be install mod also....this means you have key or hacked phone...

@analyalater your mentioned version of spb shell also not supports the skins and newer version tell clearly that older skins not supported.

Yea bro this is a known error now, it appears when you try loading the settings but it does not affect the loading of the settings at all, it only appears as a pop up so it should be ignored, btw did you get it to work yet? tried loading my settings file yet?....

Well, no one else has had this bug before dunno y you are getting it, try slamming your phone at the wall and then check if your sh*tty phone can get it to work....

Same with me. I think its because it is for older version of SPB (v3.7.598 as someone here said). I am using the latest so for me could be in that. If your case is the same you got the answer.

Man.. its not that,i tried to install the version you said. Cause i had the last one aswell... but is still saying "Unable to install" ..

I figured out how to install it. In case somebody else gets an "Unable to install" error,just go on your memory card,with the USB extract all the .dat files into E:\private\20028b16\SPBShell folder
and then restart SPB shell. It should work fine.

Go to the launcher then press settings. In the settings menu press the down right button. And there you have options to backup, restore and exit shell. Select restore settings and navigate to your settings file.

Did you load the settings file i provided on the 2nd or 3rd page i think, it's called "my settings"

Well there are different probs repoted, some can't even get the app to work on their devices =/ (guides to which should be available on the forum itself) , the other few can't get the mod to work properly, but the guide included on the 1st post is sufficient enough to get this mod working in no time because there are MANY spb shell mods here in this forum and i think that most ppl would be rather familiar with installing different mods to their phones without any trouble =D

Okay, I think this is a great mod, but after reading all the comments here, it seems to be a little difficult to install. From what I've gathered, you need to do the following to install this:

1. Hack your phone.
2. Install SPB Mobile Shell v3.7.1 (build 635)
3. Install the mod (SPBShell_Symbian^3_Design.zip ([Only registered and activated users can see links])) from the first post.
4. Extract the "My Settings.rar" to get a similar look to the pictures posted.
5. Enjoy a Symbian^3 look on your Symbian S60 v5 device.

Now I have a couple of questions of my own. Could someone please post a link to the exact version of SPB Mobile Shell that is required here? I can't seem to find it. Also, I have a hacked C6-00, the one with the keyboard. Will this mod work just as well with the keyboard (for eg, if I open the keyboard, will I be able to navigate using the D-pad or type), or is this made for touch only? Has anyone with a C6 installed this successfully? I'd like to know if it works.
