- use Manual Mode or ApertureMode , not Auto

- remove noise from yer pics , before posting them
- try to keep ISO low as possible , to avoid noise

- clone out people , traffic-signs and other distracting items

- dont forget rule of thirds

tip
if you dont need all the complex editing stuff of CS5
you may want to try Lightroom3
it has better processing-engine , and you can catalog [ index ] yer photo's
if you have both ; they are compatible [ sent to each other ]

tip
for viewing yer photo's [ raw's ]
use FastStone image viewer [ freeware ]
it can sent yer images (open with) to any app you want [ CS5 , or lightroom , or whatever ]

use a file-hosting site [ like imageshack ] to share your pics
then you can use bigger images , while you spare bandwidth of ip-mart server

you can find it in the post /reply-screen
or here

nice [ both ]
try some fill flash , so that foreground is not totally black
[ brings back a little bit of original texture ]

:good2:
