this mouse is plug&play
good chance you used the wrong driver
completely uninstall the driver and remove all folders it created
also remove from device manager [uninstall ]
reboot
windows should recognize it and use its own driver

I tried what you suggested basflt but it still won't let me boot my computer up when its plugged in.
I love the mouse its great just a pain in the rear to unplug and plug it back in before and after i boot the computer up.

from what you say , i understand the mouse works fine after boot ?
then it may be BIOS
cant give detail since all BIOS are different , check the manual
see if it has usb 2.0 controller & and if its enabled
see if it has plug&play OS , enable if so
mean while
use an usb extension cable and use it ,
its easier then crawling to (dis)connect
