-did you connect a 6-pins power-connector ? = is necessary
if yes ,
-if you have 2 pci-e slots try the other one

bsod usually not come from windows
use driver from Nvidia site , not from the box

then you are around minimum
if the card is not damaged , fully seated and powerplug is connected it should work normal

-what is the error code on bsod ?
-with old card re-installed , is the problem gone ? [ to make sure its the card and nothing else ]

try ;
un-install the driver [ Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features ]
remove any nvidia-folder from C:drive you can find
go to ; windows/system32/drivers and rename nvlddmkm.sys to
nvlddmkm.sys.old.

reboot

switch off an insert 250 card
now reboot
install driver again

edit
these new drivers contain stuff that dont belong there
use custom install and select graphic driver and physics only

i have used both the driver sweeper n the driver cleaner.net but i will still give ur method a try n will let u know the results.

will also attach the .dmp file.if u can analyze n tell me what is the problem it would greatly help me or you to know whether there is a driver issue or not.

mayby somehing with MoBo

go to device-manager and see if there is a cross or a question-mark
download latest drivers for it , either from Microsoft or from Intel [ if that is the manufacturer ]

then i dont know anymore
i still say , you need a stronger PSU , even if its not the cause
this card uses a lot more power then your previous card

i gave new calculator above
try and see the different

Why don't you try an application called "WhoCrashed" from here

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

It will analyse your PC and give you details about which driver caused the BSOD

:goodluck:
