This solution tries to address the problem of the Smart Card service not starting correctly as is what causes Fighter to fail.
Note: This is only for Windows XP or Windows 2000.
Ok, so if when you put your dongle in it's red light flashes and you can see it in Device Manager, but when you run Fighter it doesn't work (or crashes) then please try this.
This proves the Fighter Software is fine, it's Windows that has problems with the Smart Card Services that causes 99% of the "It Doesn't Work" problems.
Here's the steps to fix it:
1) Open up a command prompt (Start -> Run -> type in 'cmd' and press enter)
2) Type in this: regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\scardssp.dll
Press return and click on "Ok" with the box that pops up.
3) Type in this: scardsvr reinstall
Press return. You'll get no message.
4) Rename the attached file from fix.txt to fix.reg and double click on it. When it asks if you want to install the settings say yes!
5) Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services. Double Click Services.
In the list you now see, find the Service called "Smart Card" (not Smart Card Helper) and right click on it. Select "Properties" and left click. When the box opens up, change the "Startup Type" to automatic. Click on "Apply" then on "Ok"
6) Reboot Your PC! Do not try to "test" Fighter before doing this step!
Your Fighter should now work perfectly!
