first of all, let me congratulate you dave on this. You are a blessing for this forum.
i have not used the desktop skin yet, but the mobile skin is great. Infact it gives me access to some mod tools like infraction which previous mobile skin did not give.
Its a bit on the heavier side though. Would be great if we could cut down on the graphics. :)

Dave
17th January 2011, 22:41
We will add also skins but first we concentrate on fixing everything. After these other stuff as skins etc etc

Yes, reputation system changed.
Reputation Power related to your current reputation. As many reputation you have = many reputation power you have.

Apart from joining the moaners regarding the slooooowness which I know is being worked on and looking forward to further style/theme options, I personally don't like everything now being centre-justified from topics/threads//posts/text etc!
Can we please have left-justified again please?

loekverhees
18th January 2011, 19:59
With the new forum, is it possible to implement the select-quote feature? With that feature, one can select some text partially and use that for quoting instead of the entire post. I think this is very usefull since a lot of the members only quote some part of a post. Now, we have to first quote the entire post, and then remove all the unnecessary parts.

:good2: Nice to have ipmart back up albeit a little slow still at the moment.
Noticed the attachment feature is different too.

One thing that didnt work was I had notification of new rep but when I clicked the drop down menu and new rep link it took me to 'subscribed threads' instead..

According to some people, the speed optimization is done. But for every link I click on this forum it takes about 16 seconds (average) to load the page. Is this normal behavior?

I agree, still VERY slow (Windows XP, IE8) but hopefully this is still being investigated?

Spooky or what?

NOW seems pretty fast again...thanks if someone's tweaked it.

First of all my thanks and congratulations to the administrative team of the forum for their hardwork to upgrade forum software. Now some problems which member like me who surf forum via phone, are facing like
Slow speed of forum, pages not opened properly at Ucweb,
Many time forum is unavailable or too busy message,
One more thing does 15 members limitation exist to give reputation to a member again if yes, may it possible we can see all 15 members' name in setting, it very useful to give reputation to members.

Server speed resolved. Everything is working almost 100% perfectly.

Many time forum is unavailable or too busy message
Cause of running optimizations and working on codes etc etc. Can't be done in 1 day everything.

One more thing does 15 members limitation exist to give reputation to a member again if yes, may it possible we can see all 15 members' name in setting, it very useful to give reputation to members.
Server speed depends of calculation.
IE: going on settings to see who reputed you = server process of calculation.
Adding more fields on reputation as you say 15 means + 5 processes on every member apart.

Thanks for your post, appreciate it.

The mobile skin does not show in which section the thread is.

Symbian OS Zone [3rd & 5th Edition] > Symbian S60 v3 Applications > 'Thread'

Now it just shows the name of the 'Thread'.

Really liked the new look of our forum as also its being updated to latest Vbulletin. :) Three cheers to all the ppls hard work behind it. Ipmart is always the best.

Few changes which i observed and i really liked:
1]New search box which allow u to directly type without 1st clicking it.
2]I liked the new reputation system too.
3]Every thread now shows a date on which its being started so now u dont need to open it to see when was it being initiated.
3]Replying with quote opens on the same page really eases my work.
Now i love posting more n more.... lol

And as its the latest one everything will be really simplified. I m using firefox and the forum is opening fast and is perfect now.
Again Hats off 4 this gr8 achievement guys. :)

WarriorMax

Gr8 speed. IPMART is faster in firefox than in chrome.

Bugs that I encountered:
- Since yesterday the "notifications" does not go. It keeps increasing.

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

-When I click "reply to thread" icon it goes to quick reply instead of full reply window.

Hopefully imageshack shortcut would be installed soon. Missing that option :)

Congrats to all people behind this successful transit to the new board.

Dave
21st January 2011, 16:02
Already discussed about 15 reputations on CP Panel. As more information to the current one we add server speed increase.
Just think -> 5+ calculations from server for every user apart.

Dave
21st January 2011, 17:12
Advanced Quick Reply 'Ultimate' integrated.

What this means?
Simply, you have the advanced tools into quick reply and no need anymore to go on advanced reply to add "bold, center, ordered list, insert video, image etc etc".

Ok bro it means showing of 15 rep given in setting cause server slow. Bro would it be possible to a member has to spread only 10 rep to other members before giving rep to a member again. Here are many members whose work deserve much rep but because of present rep system they got less. Like that big time.

Couple more things:-

The top tab "IPmart facebook page" is virtually invisible in red till you hover over it.
Where topics are "rated" you used to be able to hover over the stars to see how many had actually rated it...not now.

Is it just me or is this site on a go-slow over the last couple od days? It's taking literally a minute or so to load a page now! .... and, no, I haven't changed my browser/settinngs etc.

Yes, the forum got damn slow since the upgrade... Sometimes, it takes ages to open a page. I didn't face such kind of problem on earlier version...

its a vb bug so please wait for fix or upgrade directly from vb...

Why are the latest issues (slow loading and only one page of search results viewable) not affecting other VB 4.1.3 forums including italian ipmart forum?

Dmoe
20th June 2011, 16:42
that will be because the various sites use different scripts for different things , things that are here arent definately on other ipmart sites so most likely it could be certain (as yet undertermined) scripts causing this slow down...

@ dmoe, i thought that might be the case but i had to ask :)
I just noticed that the forum is now v4.1.4, this upgrade hasn't solved much :(
