Thanks very much basflt...
I've seen that both netbooks has got windows starter edition, and I heard that it's not possible to install applications there.
Is there a way, throug format, to put the normal Win7 HE?
And if I do that, will the battery life decrease?

windows versions has nothing to do with power consumption
i suggest to leave the OS as it is , it wont benefit at all , plus, you loose your activation-license that you paid for
windows7 has battery-saving features , use them ......
why cant you install apps ? i wonder ...
sounds weird to me , although i dont own one
they got plenty disk-space , and if not , simply remove some useless OEM-apps
edit
i looked it up
starter-edition allows you you run a maximum of 3 apps , not counting anti-virus
installing other OS should be possible if you ask me

And is there any way to remove that limitation ?
And another question:
Where can I see how much battery life a netbook has?

i got it from a local shopping site
if you made a decision , google for exact name
remember
figures are not accurate and often misleading [ advertising ]
best advise i can give ;
google ,google some more , compare results , make your own judgment , then buy

dell usually has a better battery life.
Plus i would suggest that you upgrade to a 9 cell battery from a regular 6 cell one.
