better then any other so the files can be smaller. It is easier for ppl with

.BLZ FILES ANYMORE)

How to connected your N-Gage console to your PC?
------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------

- Just used the usb cable supplied by nokia. It is plug and play hardware. after you
connect it, the windows will detect your N-Gage as a generic hard drive and install the
appropriate driver. If you are still using Windows 98, if the windows ask for the
driver, browse in your CD supplied by Nokia. Usually the drive will be F: or G: (depends
on your current drive inside your windows) This drive is refer to your MMC card inside
you N-gage Console. (REMEMBER NOT TO LOCKED/PUT PASSWORD TO YOUR MMC. IF YOU DO WINDOWS
WILL NOT DETECT IT)

Another method for installing the games to your MMC is by using the 'CARD READER'. It is
a hardware. (I have seen ppl asking where to DOWNLOAD CARD READER BEFORE) So go buy it at
the store. It is not that expensive.

The Idiot Guides for Installing Cracked N-gage Games
----------------------------------------------------

The early game released by Team Blizzard.
========================================

1. Firstly u need blz installer. Get it here on the download section.

2. Download the N-Gage Rom that you want that is in .blz format as being mention above.
Usually it come in .zip or .rar files.

3. Put/Extract the blz installer into your mmc and install the software by goto

-----> menu-----> tools-----> manager

U will see blz installer in it. select the files and install it to your phone.

4. Then extract the .blz games rom ie. THPS to the root/main directory of your MMC.

if your mmc drive is E: ----> then put it in E:\

5. After that, disconnect your N-gage and you will see a blz installer icon in the main menu.
Run the program (Dont ask me how?)

6. The games of your choice will be in the blz installer list. just select it and press the
left soft menu and select install or just press the middle button of the navigator.

7. It may take a while for the installer to finish. So just wait and dont do any stupid thing
like pressing menu button. Leave it alone!!!!

8. After the installation completed, a new icon will appear on your N-Gage Console.

9. This can be apply to all .blz games

The N-Gage Rom released by Bosely or EN_Gage

It is usually come in zip files with several .rar files in it (Like Spider-Man 2) or just
a normal .rar with 2/3 folder in it (System\Apps\???????, System\Libs, System\PROGRAMS)


**IMPORTANT NOTES - ALWAYS INSTALL THE OLDEST RELEASED FIRST THEN NEW ONE**


A. A normal .rar with 2/3 folder Installation.
----------------------------------------------

1. This type is the easiest one. Firstly connect your N-Gage to your PC
(or put your MMC inside card reader)

2. Open the files with winrar(www.rarlabs.com). There should be 2/3 folder

System\Apps\??????? -----> any game folder ie. 6RAV/6R12 etc.
System\Libs -----> Library files (VERY IMPORTANT)
System\PROGRAMS -----> for games that (supposely) support N-Gage Arena Only*
if not this folder is not there

3. Then Just EXTRACT/UNRAR/UNZIP the files with the folder to your MMC.
Just overwrite when being ask (mainly the system\libs folder)
ie. if your MMC is drive E: --> then extract the Folder and files to E:\

4. Next just disconnect your N-Gage from your PC
(or put your MMC back to your N-Gage if you r using card reader)

5. Finally restart your N-Gage. New Icon will appear and you are ready to go!
(just switch on your N-Gage if using the card reader method)


B. A zip files with several .rar files Installation.
----------------------------------------------------

1. This type of files is little tricky. I suggest u download newest winrar(www.rarlabs.com)
to make it little easier.

2. Firstly i suggest u make a new folder inside your computer HD.
(I always have a TEST folder for my temporary transfer used)

3. Then Unzip the all the files inside the zip to the new folder
(Its maybe have 3 or more files. Most of it will be .rar, r01 and r02 etc. OR one files
with .rar extension)

4. If the files contain 3 or more .rXX files, just select a file that come with .rar extension
with winrar. Then you will see a folder like above mention NORMAL INSTALLATION. Just follow
those guides afterward starting from step 2. ****this is if you used winrar version 3.4****

If you used older version ie. 3.3 downward, SELECT all .rXX files---> open it with winrar and
follow the NORMAL INSTALLATION above. or just right click ----> extract to.... select you mmc

5. It is also possible that the files come inside the zip is .rar files with more .rar files in it.
Just EXTRACT those files and used method 4 above when u have the appropriate files like
.rar, .r01, .r02

6. Then you game all set. Restart your N-Gage. Play NICE....!!!!!!!!!

ADDITIONAL INFO ON N-GAGE GAMES IN .SIS RELEASED

There is couple of games that was pack and released in .sis files by DIANA from IRC scene
1) Fifa 2004
2) Sega Rally
3) Puzzle Bobble
4) Puyo POP
5) Moto GP
6) Fifa 2005
7) Other small games

This games come in several .sis files and some PPL failed to install it to
their phone.

So this is the way to installed it.

1) U need this program UnmakeSis. Download it here
http://planet.time.my/sunwaycity/edan1979/unmakesis.7z
(It was compress using 7zip. Can be open with winzip)
or just search the program inside the forum

2) Put the program in a folder inside your computer.

3) Unzip/unrar the games to some folder and you will see a lot of .sis files

4) open the unmakesis program and open the .sis files.

5) extract the .sis files. ALL OF IT.

6) now you have it all extracted, you will get a folder like this... sort of

----->system\apps\6r12
----->system\libs

7) now copy all the files including the folder to your mmc

Cool restart your ngage and you r ready to play.

u can play n-gage games on a 3650.. the phone can play some of the blz files but not the rar files.. it is not worth trying to play the games.. the phone has so poor ram.. buy an n-gage phone..much better

you can just play some game like sonicN, puyopop and puzzle bobble vs.... the other games... not a chance....

The memory errors in the 3650 are due to it having less memory than the n-gage. You'll have to boot it up in Flight Mode.

Hi i bought a new QD. i encounter problems installing the crack games (non-blz games). My MMC card has many applications and games in the E:/sys. If i follow yr instructions as above, i will be overwriting all the existing files. In this case, must i buy a new mmc to specially install the game so that i can play. Looking forward to a favourable reply.

by the way it wont overwrite any of your intall games or application... it will create it own folder..... it maybe overwrite some libs files.... that's all.... :P

for the thousand time..... JAVA games.... how to install....

1. if the download files is anything.rar and containing a lot of files+meta+some small thing.... Just RENAME THE FILES TO anything.JAR

2. if the files got one anything.jar inside the rar or zip files then follow the next step.

3. Send theanything .jar files to your phone using BT and it will auto install when u open the message. IF you put it inside your mmc.... then open the fexplorer program.... or SELEQ or any file manager.... select the files and run it... the it will be install to your phone....


THAT'S ALL NOOB'S... ARE U HAPPY NOW.... :)

I know this is a thread for n-gage phones but could you please post a link to a thread explaining how to play n-gage games on other phones such as my 6630? (If it's a idiot guide it's even better, lol)

Guys, I installed the blz installer on my 6630 and then the tomb.blz into the mmc card. I opened the blzintaller aplication and selected the tomb.blz file. It started unpacking and a message appeared, unpacking was succesful (or something like that) When I open the tomb rider icon on my root menu it just doesn't start. I can't even uninstall it. What do I do now? Please heellpp!!

I tried to install SonicN using just the same method as Tomb Raider and it worked. It's playing just fine on my 6630. but I still can't play tomb raider. The thing won't start. How do I remove it?

2nd... Tomb Raider is not working for many other phone than N-Gage.. u should read other post and there is a related topic about the game on your 6630 phone... so go search next time...

Yes, another dumby who knows nothing of this sort. I just got the original n-gage, I love what the phone can provide(fm radio, mp3, games, movies,etc). But this tech. stuff is totally foreign, but I'm willing to learn :? :) I'm taking baby steps. From reading I see that if I wish to download X-men L into my phone, I 1st need to download this winRAR. But which one of choices do I choose, it is not stated in the instructions above?

and POWER ARCHIVER is another compression program like winrar and winzip but it can open both .zip and .rar format +others....

If I double posted, it was not intentional. sometimes the libs in one and another was same and when we copy that libs, it show warning the files was there do you want o replace it.
what kind libs that i should use the new one or the one which the game have?

if u put some... it might be running alright.. but see the topic about 6600 compatibility... they have made some good finding on how to play ngage games on 6600... a lot of games too... and u may find some patch here...

for the firmware.. the most recent version i see in my country is ver 4.03 (if i'm not mistaken) then there is no other new one as nokia itself has pull out the original n-gage from the market...

in your country? u`r country is my country too.... is it possible to update ngage firmware? mine V3.30, what firmware suppose for?

lol... i though i have given a really brief answer in the guide.... maybe u can undersatnd this....

i use Ashen_Retail_NGAGE-ENGAGE as reference

1. u unzip got this files enashen1.zip/enashen2.zip/enashen3.zip

2. inside enashen1.zip when u open u find a files enashenr.rar -->unzip in 1 folder

3. inside enashen2.zip when u open u find a files enashenr.r00 -->unzip in 1 folder

4. inside enashen2.zip when u open u find a files enashenr.r01 -->unzip in 1 folder

5. after that u will got this 3 files enashenr.rar/enashenr.r00/enashenr.r01 in 1 folder

6. open enashenr.rar with Winrar.... what u will see is a lot of files with a

i) system\apps\6??? folder
ii) system\libs
iii) other unrelated files like .nfo

7. Now unrar this files to your mmc.... and then restart your phone and play the games....

i hope u can understand now... :P

i.e new games also got some zip files inside it system\apps\6???\data folder.... leave it like it was mean to be...

why you say that?
i think the blz files are more easy to install.
you just send ONE file (the blz) to your phone and the blizzard installer does all the rest for you!
with this rar things you have to unrar manually, replace libs, put fixes in etc. MUCH MORE WORK!

that my friend is mean for a repacked version one... the one that just need the unzip/unrar and copy to mmc or just unzip directly to your mmc and walla.... it's working.... so it is the easiest one...

the unmakesis at my site already take out for better thing... so search the forum....

Well, i never got any of these graphical SIS extractors to work on my machine. Actually i'm using Unsis, which is a DOS tool that needs a Perl Interpreter to work. It is working fine. I also tried a plugin to WindowsCommander that is supposed to extract SIS files, but the files it extracts comes out corrupted. I tried also HalWin but it has no extract funcion.

I would appreciate a graphical tool to extract sis files that works, just give me the name of the app that i will look for it :)

but still with this you have to put the MMC out of the phone (meaning shut it down) put it in the card reader, send data over, put it back in phone.
with blz you send one file via bluetooth or irda to your phone and just install it.
no need to power down phone and switch cards.

that is the beauty of original N-Gage... the guide was made by me when the original N-Gage was released. we dont need to take the mmc out.. just plug the usb cable... the QD also dont need to shut the phone down, it has the swapping option....

and not everygame is blz... just the early released one... still wonder until now why blizzard team stop making it...

you need to put all the system files of all the rar files that appear. if you don´t put them all the game wont work.

yes all you need is the system folder. all the others are not needed. but try not to get lost in all the rar folders an transfer all the system folders to your mmc. it will say that a system folder already exists and you need to choose yes to all so that it overwrites.

how do you install .jar files into ngage? or you can't. tried to copy via pc suite for ngage and then using seleq to open the .jar file. it installed, but then cannot find any game icon to open... any masters out with the answer?

there is no system folder in my phone when i view with my com... but there is the system folder when i use the fexplorer.....

lol.. to show the system folder just click tools and then click folder options.. it opens and menu and go to view and check Sho hidden file and folders.. hope this helps ^^

Im using n6670, i installed blz installer on my mobile even the icon appears in the menu.but even if i put some engage games in Blz format into my mmc,the blz installer doesnt read them when it is run and says no data! so can anybody please tell me where to copy the Blz game file onto the mmc so that it can be read by blz installer? i tried motoGp also.

try to put all .BLZ games in the root ur drive E: do not put it in any folder just in the root.. working fine with my N6600.. so i guess its the same for ur N6670..

Ain't that a most inefficient rule? Anyone could think of some topics to post and/or reply to to get their 20 posts together, e.g. write some reviews to already purchased games, ask for hints, post highscores, etc..

The only consequence I saw were inane one-liners like when AOL made Usenet accessible to their customers.

hi! ive got a problems on extracting some of ngage games that contains a lot of rar files. evrytime i try to transfer the extracted system file on my mmc using card reader, winrar diagnostic appears and says that a new disk should be created on d next voulume b4 proceeding. how cud i do this? thanx

Is there any application that looks and work like winrar in linux?

how do you install .jar files into ngage? or you can't. tried to copy via pc suite for ngage and then using seleq to open the .jar file. it installed, but then cannot find any game icon to open... any masters out with the answer?

Java files are shown inside the "Applications" menu item. Did you check there?

i always get memory low message once there installed, it says to close some applications... but none are open apart from the game... how do i prevent this?

System\Apps\??????? -----> any game folder ie. 6RAV/6R12 etc.
System\Libs -----> Library files (VERY IMPORTANT)
System\PROGRAMS -----> for games that (supposely) support N-Gage Arena Only*
if not this folder is not there

3. Then Just EXTRACT/UNRAR/UNZIP the files with the folder to your MMC.
Just overwrite when being ask (mainly the system\libs folder)
ie. if your MMC is drive E: --> then extract the Folder and files to E:\

regarding this steps:
im using a nokia 3230 and i dl fifa2005, when i opened it it shows
System\Apps\6R12
System\Libs
System\PROGRAMS

so to confirm?
1) do i take these individual files, copy wat it is inside these files and paste it into my phone
E:\System\App
E:\System\Libs
E:\System\PROGRAMS

or?
2)do i jus copy the whole folder like System\Apps\6R12 into E:\System\App

i tried step 1 but after i copied and restarted the phone no new icon was shown

just dropped by to greet the author of one of the most comprehensive n-gage installation guide i've seen. VERY GREAT JOB man!

and yes, people, please use the search function of this site and your common sense... i've survived using my ngage qd (without looking at the manual or any help forum) but i managed to use it and maximize its potential...:rolleyes:

You can look in N-Gage compatibility section inside the forum... some game might work...

in some games it is possible to face colour problems...

But even when a game works, the keypad of a normal phone is disfunctional in comparison with the ngage keypad.
