yeh 3 hours a day is too long i reckons, better if it was like 1 to 2 hours, because it doesn't take long to reply people anyways, and within 1 hour, you can reply alot of questions.
But yeh, better off if people could vote for who to be moderators

hi this is shaikhboy here, from mumbai, india. i dont mind 3 hours its ok , also i am very much interested in gsm and its solutions and also a reseller for tornado ufs on www.ufsxsupport.com and can help for better for everyone, with a huge network in my country INDIA.
ALSO I HAD A SUGGESTION ADMIN people here turning this forum into less discussion, solutions and more into applications and ringtones and movies , so it would be nice to see i-phone forum back as it was earlier with more suggestions and solutions and less funny stuffs.

whats wrong with applications, ringtones and movies? and some of the funny stuff in the offtopic section is posted by modderators.

if this site was only disscussing phones and no applications ringtones ect members would be lost.
this is the best site for every thing about mobile phones.
and i dont want this site to turn into another AVIAnet.

Well, i'm already a forum moderator here in portugal. It gives me a lot of work. So, i think it's better for me to stay how i am now... 8) And still because i'm new here and it's not fair for other potencial new moderators.
Hope you can find a good user to charge that position :wink:

Can u check for me can i be a moderator?I log in the forum 8 hours per day, do u tin that i have the potential to be a moderator with my 600 posts and knowledge of devices(hardware)coz i oso repairing hp, and upgrading software for others, and recently I bought the Griffin oreadi, so can I?

How bout having a poll for for who should be the new moderators?
Lots of people log onto these forums for over 3+ hours daily and have over atleast 200+ useful posts and stuff!

i don't think it such a good idea, only encourage them to make lot of junk posts....
20 search activites will be more effective, so they will learn how to use search feature before making any useless post

Maybe a democratic vote after the Mods select a handfull of people. This way it still gives the option of someone buying the position. That is true democracy! :idea:

Well every good board at sometime has to bring in some help. This help sometimes makes all the differace. Good luck in your choice, This board has the potential to become a very popular board as long as it has good people and a friendly ISP. :D

i think voting can be democratic but may be we can't find serious person. Ex:
there're 2 persons, a and b. people love a but a does nothing. b, people may be don't like him, but he's serious, he tries to do sth special, useful. so, people will vote first one. a will be the chosen. but again, sleepin. i think Voting is not a good way to find our new mod. is it? what do u think guys?

i just reply to something that i think important to help or when i want to.... 3 hours... 8 hours on net... next maybe 15 hours online.... just got my broadband service back..... :):):):):):):):) so happy...

A moderator have responsibility to help and take care for all member, not selfish, have most expiriense..............

this voting arguement nonsence it gettin out of hand. i was for voting to begin with but now i think its up to the admin ,super moderators or whoever runs i phone forum to decide who becomes a mod.

i have well more than 100 usefull posts and i spend more than 3 hours a day in the forum (u can see that with my average posting) but sometimes i don´t come here for 2 days maximum. but when i´m here i´m here for almost 4 or 5 hours.

shamnemesis pm the admin @iphone and tell him why u want to be a mod and wich one of the section u want to mod..And are u qualified to be a mod :P there is allot stuff u have to take care off when u become a mod.. maybe we need u on the forum too.. But yeah maybe u have chance..

With being a moderator comes much responsibility. Much time is needed to effectively moderate a section(s) of the forum and to be able to make just and fair decisions based on forum rules. Users may not agree with these decisions so you must be able to deal with that also. I would advise all to think very carefully about wanting to be a moderator and to wait until iphone asks for new moderators before applying to him...

Yes it is true, it is not easy to be an good and qualified moderator. This forum has many excellent moderators doing their job very good. Like everywhere of course, here are some too who are not able to deal with opposite opinions. It is enough to criticise some unqualified posts of an new moderator to be marked as rebel and the topics You post will be locked or moved to the trash. Everybody may see all my posts to make his own opinion and decide whether I am more helping or rebelling. Wishing this forum to have only good moderators

i totally agree with dmoe. if we have been appointed as moderators that means i-phone thinks we are able to do it. if users don´t agree with ur decisions they need to pm to the moderator they are complaining and only to him and not make a new topic on suggestions. the only person that can take any action about the decisions of the moderators is administrator i-phone and no one else. and i can say to you that i-phone gives us all the support we need to say that you are the ones who are wrong not us. so just stop complaining and go do something usefull in the forum.

As mark 6600 said we moderators have full support of administrator iphone and the complaint issue by senior and metal, i am glad to say is now sorted and finished...

I want to help you people and am ready to do anything you say... may be i can be a moderator one day...coz i have many hopes on iphone... coz iphone rocks..

Just a case of being patient and waiting till the next calling from iphone for new moderator :-) that time will come :-) br , dmoe

if you have some special skill that can proove usefull in some specific sections like hardware knowledge or software it will score some points for you.
because i doubt i-phone will hire another general mod to i-phone at least for now :)
you need to be patient and help the iphone comunity mate in order to achive your goal.

i do not one to be a moderator. but i want to be able to go anywhere in this forum without restriction. i can give u all any software for mobile phone. saras, martech, fighter, furius and many more.

but payi you can acess any section without restriction and post anything you want :)
the only section you can´t acess is mod section and there would be no point in posting apps there.

I am glad all appreciate whats needed to be a moderator but now this topic is old school . Was when it started i applied to be a moderator ! Next time any new moderators are needed administration will open a new topic. This topic can now close and serve as reference only to those who may wish one day to moderate here :-)
