View Full Version : Blzinstapp app close!
ChiongZ 27th December 2004, 15:36 I know my stuff where to copy my .Blz files and my Blzinstapp did detect my game file but when i install only a few percentage this error "blzinstapp app close" would show up. I've tried panda and tomb Blz from this forum but still fail. Any kind soul willing to help out, currently i'm using 6600 v5.27 Thanks...
thedaniel2 27th December 2004, 15:55 Hi m8. I've experienced these problems on my n-gage too. especially when I try to install thps. I don't know why.. I paste the .blz file to my n-gage once again and run blzinstall over again. somethimes I have to do this two or three times, but eventually it always work and I get it installed. Don't run a partially unpacked .blz file. -that won't work. start over again.
hope u get it to work. happy new year
ChiongZ 27th December 2004, 16:01 thedaniel2, can u explain what u meant by a "partially unpacked .blz file", any others with the same problem and with solutions?
stevonw 27th December 2004, 16:03 my friend also has a problem installing THPS on his new Nokia 6600......everytime he trys to install it the app closes half way through installing...
yet i bought my Nokia 6600 from ebay...(3 months old) and everygame works perfect?
shamnemesis 27th December 2004, 16:06 try this hints ..
1)make sure dont run other apps during installation
2)if are using 6600 with V4.09 to V5.27 make sure u have at 4mb for phone memory is free.. while 10mb to mmc card ...(this is due to alot of memory is used while running a prog)
3)try to install it slowly
4)if fail ..restart phone ...and try again ...
ChiongZ 27th December 2004, 16:06 Kinda noob here what does THPS stands for?
edan1979 27th December 2004, 19:12 aiyoo... THPS... Tony Hawk Pro Skater... it's a games....
ChiongZ 27th December 2004, 19:17 I know liao lazy to edit my post lolx, thanks anyway. I suspect my mmc card too small. Its only 30mb, but i have almost 12mb free in my mmc and 3mb on my phone. Is it still not enough for the installation? I wanna confirm it, coz i dont wanna spent time and money on a new mmc card thanks in advance!
edan1979 27th December 2004, 19:25 u need more... n-gage games got biger... the biggest one is 52mb.. just buy new mmc... 128 or 256... bigger better...
ChiongZ 27th December 2004, 19:35 What i wanna find out is whether we need loads of space (mb) while using blzinstapp to install blz files. If its really the fact then i'm going to buy a card reader and 256mb. any good reccomendation?
edan1979 27th December 2004, 20:01 yes.... u need double the blz files.... if the size is 7mb in blz.. then you need like 14mb for it to be unzip on your mmc and 3mb or maybe 4mb for your phone memory... actually blz is a compressed files... like zip
ChiongZ 27th December 2004, 20:05 Test liao puyo and sonic those small game files can install, conclusion time to buy a new mmc. Thanks alot edan1979, great help!
edan1979 27th December 2004, 21:25 i'm suggested at least 256mb... bigger better.. but be carefull some mmc might not work... try transcend... it's always work.. even the 1gb....
leventero 27th December 2004, 21:53 i had the same problem.with larger files like tomraider, unpacking takes longer so when your screensaver kicks in(backlight turning of)it fails to unpack.set your timeout screensaver in the phone settings higher, like 6 minutes or so and try to unpack.or when you cant find that just hit your joystick ones in 10 seconds or so before the screen saver kicks in while blz unpacks the game.worked for me.. good luck
shamnemesis 27th December 2004, 21:57 1 gb mmc is now at rm300 ..but still got discount ....u should get at least 256 man ...a lot of n-gage game coming soon ... :)
yoshiyes 29th December 2004, 14:02 can I join the discussion?..ehmm....isnt the bigger mmc card that we are using...the slower our phone is running? i am using 6600 5.27....i heard that 256mb is still aceptable...but 512mb is quite slow already...if it is ok..i wish i can change it to 512mb..
sensation.xx 17th April 2005, 15:15 same problem with blz install.....i restarted the phone...nothing...i got 256mb mmc...but nothing...still blzinstaller can't find my blz games ...i don't know why...

make shure you copied the game file to the root of mmc e: drive. if not the blz wont find the game.
i am using 256mmc and 6600 to.
Dmoe 17th April 2005, 16:30 512mb work fine on my 7610 and blaze installer always was ok too. Root of mmc means next to folders not in them.:)
