I was trying to get a handle on what people are doing to get them on the Banned list....are they just replying to hundreds of posts with just a thank you? I'm not understanding the strings....

Well, that is one reason.
But the most popular reason is that ppl make 20 posts in few minutes of pure spam just to access the download area wich limit is precisly 20 posts.

A forum member called v6auh had posted something insult people or threatened people to kill.

You can find him at banned user list.

Dont mess the topics here,we only banned for those who post 'thanks' continuosly to reach 20 posts or over.

Regarding your auto deletion features,we already discussed it over and over again but due to the board version limitation,I think upgrade board version is highly needed here.

i thinks that is better to not accept " thanks " message as a valid post

Technical issues aside, deleting all the "Thank You" notes is a great idea. It would also allow easier searches through posts, bypassing 40 pages of Thank you's to find a file.

Yes it would be nice to delete the rubbish from iphone but practically not possible with the present board version. Like e64y says you dont just get banned for saying thanks ,not at all ,its the people that say thanks to absolutely anything to get 20 posts for firmware access even when there is nothing to say thanks to ! And those that post nonsense to get there... See trash section topic "please read topic title nokia" for a shining example of what we moderators have to deal with . New members posting rubbish and getting 20 thanks posts in their 1st day. We not mean or sending the wrong message but just being fair to the vast majority of iphone members...

Moderators and other responsible authorities here should meticulously sift through the forum on a daily basis and eradicate all the unwanted posts, like ‘cool’, ‘thanks’, ‘blimey’, ‘oi mi gosh’, etc…

We do our best to spot them... Please see banned users section for examples of what is not allowed here and of those that have not heeded the rules of the forum...
