View Full Version : UIQ CRAP NEEDS TO BE MOVED!

Lately I have been misguided by people in this forum. I make a request.. they reply with uiq software. the "Symbian (s40/60/70/80) apps and games sections have UIQ software misguiding many users.

In many cases the UIQ software is labled as S60 or the like!

I wish there were tigher regulations on what people can post in this section.

It would be nice if UIQ sections were created for UIQ apps and games. I would also appreciate a section for mobile video and audio clips to be placed. I do not want to see this forum pile up with irrelevant misguiding posts.

Please tag on this post if you have the same views. I want to better this online community by storing posts and files in a sensible way.

If some standards are created for this fourm, things would really shine.

Thanks for your considerations!

Many people agree with creating a SEPRATE UIQ section.

Please post your thoughts on this.

Power33 has tendancies to reply posts with irrelevant files and information.

Here [Only registered and activated users can see links] somone was requesting "voicedialer" his reply was with other software that was not per the request of the post. Mudding up the post!

He specifically is wasting peoples time and causing confusion. Then he modifys the subject of the post as "(Done Power33)" This is not right. He needs coaching from another mod on this forum. I do not want to see this forum go to pot!

hm..i've already posted my thought about this - i know exactly where you're coming from - like say if i was a UIQ user and if i request a UIQ app, i woudln't want a S60 app, like what will i be doing with that? if we post relevant information, it would make things a lot easier at the same time organized. i'm not against UIQ users or anyone at all for the matter. my concern is that by adding a whole lot of files for unnecessary reasons considering the fact that it's going to make UIQ users happy - that's fine - i'll be happy for them as well but i don't see why you would put say for example if's someone asking for "RAIN", you give them "SNOW", what will their reaction be like? it's good that you're trying to help out but what good would it do if you give a UIQ app to a S60 user who's requesting for a S60 app and vice versa. I really would appreciate it if mod's take this into consideration - i really don't mean to offend anyone here - i'm just trying to help out because if we don't see the problems in it ourselves, who will? - if we don't take steps to improve and create a better environment? who will? - that's why i'm requesting mod's to organize this forum because it'll make people feel better, less confused and even create a friendly environment - i just want to give a small example - i once worked for best buy like 2 months ago in the computers dept. where i saw all the mouses, keyboards, speakers and webcams all trashed in plces they don't belong - so i spoke to the general manager regarding this and this is what i said to him, Carl (His name) If our products are lying around waiting for customers to dig in, search and take so much effort to get that one product , it wastes their time, creates a bad impression regarding organization and leaves them with a non satisfactory statement in their minds which will distract them away to different stores where they're more organized and present their products in a proper way, so please let's do something about it " and you know what he said, he said your absolutely right and we worked one hour extra each night and put the whole place back together and trust me, it made a difference because we won the "Number One Best Buy In Canada" & that's exactly what i hope for in this forum because i know this forum rocks and we could our level best and be "NUMBER ONE" and stand out from all the rest of the forums - i guess, i'll end it here - i hope our concerns will be taken into consideration and also - i agree with nrinzema regarding Power33 who modifies the subject which is not right. Please, do something about this - It'll be really appreciated and lets make this place into a better , frndly environment - thank you :)

"Hoping to make a difference because i care and i'm sure you all do as well"

Luckyabndit,

Thanks for your insight.

If the work of moving posts is the hinderance to getting this to happen. I will personally dig up UIQ posts and move them to an appropriate section of the forum.

I hope this topic is being noticed!

Its good to see and hear that change is needed. If everyone could look at the top of the forum and pm one or two moderators I think we could really get this whole thing straightened out quickly.

add to this topic if you agree, it would be nice to have a petition list.

Thanks!

yeah it's hard to find UIQ posts but if you're gonna move them to a separate forum, then it shouldn't been stated Symbian (S40/60/70/80) Apps, but just S40/60/70/80 Apps. i think it would've been much more easy for new people to find games/apps to their liking.
that's my opinion. :)

To be precise: series40, 70 and 80 are not Symbian!!! In case you should also title this forum "Symbian (S60/90) Apps", and move s40 games & apps to another place...

And WTF are you calling UIQ software crap??? I own a SonyEricsson P800 (aside to my Nokia 6630), and it's a on another level... wonderful!!

both UIQ and S60/90 are symbian, but still are not cross compatible. When I say "UIQ Crap" I am expressing how disorginized it is to store UIQ and S60/90 apps and game togeather in the same sections

I was very close to buying a UIQ device myself, then I fell for the N6620.

What I am saying is that I would call S60/90 crap if I owned a UIQ device. My point is that there should be seperate respective sections for both.

I used crap in my topic title becasue I wanted it to get noticed. I am not hatein on UIQ at all. I am trying to be the catylst for new sections to be created for UIQ which would be great for you as a UIQ user.

I didn't mean to diss you, it's ok! It was only a misunderstanding... :)
Anyway, I agree with your point! I think s40, s60 and UIQ stuff should be separated from each other... this would make the forum more organized, the actual situation is a bit confused...

bye!

Since I'm a UIQ user, I have to agree with all of you regarding the new section. I'm getting dizzy finding the stuff that I need. Either there's a limited posting of apps and games for UIQ or I just can't find it, hehehe.

I have tried requesting my posting to be a sticky so that it'll be the only topic for UIQ's...
