Possible Errors

Connection: The Connection is slow or seems to pause every other second
Some versions of the USB Cable (DKU-2) driver seem to be buggy. Please try to install the driver from the CD shipped with your phone.

The USB Cable (DKU-2) driver might be outdated or incompatible. Please try to install the driver from the CD shipped with your phone or download the latest driver from Nokia.
PC: Port in use by another program
Another application has already opened the USB Cable COM port and is blocking it. This could be the PC Suite for example.
PC: The USB Cable (DKU-2) cannot be selected or opened
This could have several reasons:
You didn't install the USB Cable (DKU-2) driver on your PC yet.
The USB Cable (DKU-2) driver hangs. Unfortunately, you will have to restart your computer.

The Modem of your phone is not stopped and thus blocking the USB Cable. Please click on "Yes" if Remote S60 asks you to stop the Modem.
You didn't install the USB Cable (DKU-2) driver on your PC yet.

Bluetooth for Series 60 Release 2 Phones
Requirements:

Series 60 Release 2 phone (Nokia 7610, 6260, 6670, 6630, 668x, ...)

Bluetooth Drivers with support for Bluetooth Serial Port communications

Instructions:

Start Remote S60 Professional on your PC

If you are using the Nokia PC Suite, please uncheck all Bluetooth adapters from the Nokia Connection Manager!
Remote S60 Professional will not be able to share Bluetooth with the Nokia PC Suite.

Configure Remote S60 Professional to listen for incoming Bluetooth connections. Please click on "Configure Bluetooth" as seen below:

You can configure Remote S60 Professional to listen on up to 3 different COM ports.
Click on the first checkbox and select the appropriate COM port from the drop-down list.
Remote S60 Professional tries to identify the name of each COM port. A Bluetooth COM port might be named "Bluetooth Communications Port" or "Bluetooth Serial Port".
Don't forget to select "AO" (for Auto-Open): Remote S60 Professional tries to open each port automatically once you start or re-configure Remote S60 Professional.

Please note: Unfortunately, some Bluetooth adapters don't assign names to the virtual COM ports. You will have to guess the right COM port. You can also try to identify the COM port from the Windows System Setup (System->Hardware->Device Manager.)

Start Remote S60 Professional on your phone, click on the left softkey ("Options"), select "Bluetooth" and then "Other ..."

Your phone will search for available bluetooth devices. From the list of discovered devices, please select your PC.
Remote S60 is successfully connected

Possible Errors:

PC: Port in use by another program
Another application has already opened the USB Cable COM port and is blocking it. It could be the Nokia PC Suite!
Nothing happens / no connection is established
You could have selected the wrong COM port in step #4
PC: The screen is not updated anymore / there is only a white screen after connecting
The bluetooth drivers might be buggy (common when using Windows XP2 bluetooth drivers.) Remote S60 will automatically switch into a compatibility mode for the specific port. However, you can also manually select this compatibility mode by checking the "XP" checkbox behind the specific port as shown below:
