You can install Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Symbian OS on your telephone in these two ways:
Using PC:
1.Download the installation program by clicking the link <link> and save it on your PC.
2.Download the installation program from your PC to the telephone using IrDa, Bluetooth or in a different way.
3.Go to Menu > Messaging > Inbox of your telephone and run the installation program.
4.Follow the instructions of the installation program.
Not using PC:
1.Go to Menu > Services > Bookmarks of your telephone.
2.Add new bookmark with the following settings:
Name: Anti-Virus
Address: [Only registered and activated users can see links] (for all supported smartphones except Siemens SX1)
[Only registered and activated users can see links] (for Siemens SX1)
3.Press Download and follow the instructions of the installation program.

Please, pay attention that each participant of the beta-testings which have sent the information on model of the mobile telephone and about, whether the given beta-version on the specified model works, after commercial ðåëèçà will receive the free-of-charge version of a product with the license for the period of 1 year.

Funny. All the virus can be self deleted by following instructions on Symantec website. And, there's less than 20 virus for Symbian OS. Does that warrant a Antivirus?

Now about an expenditure of system resources. As we know, the anti-virus programs for the large computers take away very many resources, something similar I expected and from KAV 1.0 for Symbian. C by the help AppMan and MemoryTester it was possible to find out, that during complete scanning of file system in inquiry loading of the processor 30-35 %, îïåðàòèâêè borrows(occupies) about 900êb. In time of constant protection in a mode of real time 140-150êb îïåðàòèâêè, the processor in general has shown 0 % of loading. Thus program very loyally concerns to system much(many) does not ask. With a map of memory on 512Ìb, engaged half, the program has checked up 1450 files for 8 minutes.

As I was an unlucky beta tester of Kaspersky antivirus and I have 6630 I sent them e-mail if they are going to release version working on 6630. The answer was that they may think of it later. By the way 6630 is not in official supported phones.

Been using Kaspersky on my pc for a while now and installed in on a lot of computers running other antivir before and it almost allways found virusses not detected by other products, hope the S60 version is just as good.

do anyone cannot go to the menu for the phone mean spoil ????? i download and install any don't know y the phone restart and cannot go to the menu

well firstly ...my friend sent me the caribe.sis file to my inbox to thest this app. then i manually scanned the phone but the app didnt detect the caribe.sis file. looks like this beta version has a long way to go. the only plus point being is that u can update the virus definitions via gprs. which actually works !!

firstly ray ur friend just sent u the virus....u didnt install it....caribe is usually sent thru bluetooth n is a sis file which if installed infects the fone with caribe...only after that can the antivirus detect that.....and since this is a beta so its a trial....the full version will b out in a while....

i guess simworks is better when it comes to quick scanning and virus detection ..but the only problem is that u cant update it and have to wait for the next cracked edition ..as the updates from the simworks website do not work with cracked versions . So thats where kaspersky comes in... its a little heavy on sys resources ...but you can always switch the autoprotect mode off... its a free trial for a year ... and you can updated the base files via the comp or gprs ... what more do ya want from a good a.v ??? lol...

Norotn's mobile antivirus for symbian phones is also released on the forum ..but it doesnt work with symbian v6.1 devices like n-gage , qd , 3650 etc . so i guell i'll be sticking to kaspersky for the time being !!

No. U can't. It automatically install it into ur phone memory.
N u can't del it in ur app manager. U need 2 del the file using fexplorer, file manager etc. :)

Hi !

I downloaded the "08/07/05 13:30:03 2730 b2.dat" - file,
renamed it just to "b.dat" and copied it to the folder where i have installed
Kaspersky. In my case it was "e:\System\Apps\KLAntivirus"
I had to overwrite the same file in this folder.
Then i´ve made a reboot and voila... runs perfect!

This app finally expired on me today. Odd because it does not say "when" it expires...just that it is a trial. Well, trial is over now I suppose.

I actually contacted Kaspersky to see if it were available for purchase. They didn't even want to acknowledge that it even existed, and then when they admitted to it they simply said "No, not available for purchase". Someone please remove that trial! :)

well my friend, you are not right. there are 100 and more viruses for symbian. examples:
ommwarrior,
doomboot,
cardTrap.A,
etc.....
The best solution is F-secure mobile, but its uncrackable...
