Hi guy's i have a Aopen ax4spe MaxII mobo with 2 sata port onchip and 4 on Sil3114 controller i am using the two onchip for hdd
i have now connected a sata dvd writer to one of the sil 3114 ports and pc won't now boot instead i get asked to press f4 to go to raid setup
can anyone help thanks

you did it the other way around
you should bundle the HDD's in a RAID and the DVDdrive on a normal slot
the 4 ports are Silicon RAID ports , the 2 are for normal use

you could try if the DVDdrive works on RAID [ not sure about that ]
just press F4 to enter RAID-setup and follow instructions from your MoBo manual

me , i would switch them
put the two HDD's in one stripe RAID
[ the disks will be cleared [ erased ] if you so ] , so you must reinstall

also , in BIOS , check boot-sequence order
