hello, does anyone know whether there are any way to cheat in the vBoy for S60? i tried transfering the .SAV file over to the PC but i found that the PC emulators doesn't support .SAV files.

so i was wondering if anyone knows which emulator loads .SAV state? and are there any gamesharks for the vBoy?

thanks a lot guyz.

Cant play a game without cheating ? + I think....No ,I'm sure that gameshark , xploder nor action replay show any interest in developing a cheat-tool for emulators.

I tried pkomen gold and it worked.

rename sav.o bla bla to pc save file and give it later back cheated. it works.

ok let me explain.

First of all, what i used is the battery saves (normal save) and not the save states.

transfer that file to PC, put it on the same folder where the game is and just load normally.

i tested this on pokemon gold and it worked.

i use visualboy advance.
visualboy supports manual cheat search, game genie, and gameshark.

i personally use gameshark. you can find the code at [Only registered and activated users can see links]

just use it at visualboy advance and then save.

then return the cheated save file back to the phone.

note : 1. you may have to rename the saved file first, so that visualboy recognizes it (not sure on this one, do only if necessary)

2. you take the battery saves, and not the save states

example : Game name : mario.zip
save states : Mario.zip.0.sav, Mario.zip.1.sav
battery saves : mario.zip.sav

The bold one is the file you transfer to pc to load at visual boy advance.

i play on my ngage using Vboy v1.30.

After close the emulator, it battery saved automatically ( lufia.gbc.sav is the battery saved file), after that i copy both lufia.gbc n lufia.gbc.sav file to pc, then by using visualgamboy advance i play the game, after that i input some cheat, then i close the program, then, now my pc hav another battery saved file ( i.e lufia.sav)

so, now my pc has 3 files
1. lufia.gbc
2. lufia.gbc.sav
3. lufia.sav (new)

then i copy back all 3 files to my ngage, i play again, but it doesnt have cheat, nothing changed at all...i'm so angry, cuz i tried whole night on it...

anyone can help??pleasssseeeeee.....

another method is by patching game genie codes to the rom itself. u must down load the gameboy color game genie patcher den put the codes there then write it to the rom. the rom itself will have the cheats that you activated.
