Could we resume download when connection lost

Only if using a download manager i presume. Otherwise download would be lost when connection failed... Personally not use any manager myself so maybe others could post more info on their suitability ...

i think it is wrong i used download manager but it didnt resume and also ie6 is also but ie doesnt resume too

have you used firefox?? it has a download manager? faster downloading for dial up connections..

Had been told that too.. Many browsers have this option but as pointed out dont really work as you might like them to. Even opera for symbian has it but if you pause then resume the download it starts again from 0kb and not from where it was at... But still at least you dont have to find the download link again :-)

I thought it was on the server side that allowed, or not, the d/l to be resumed.
And then, of course, the browser must be able to do it, also.

But if the server does not allow the "resume", then, no browser will be able to do it, I think.

I am wrong?

& I thot most of the files here were very small? Why the need to resume a d/l? Unless yr connection really sucks... Please use a download manager then. =)

i do use a downlaod manager and it works most times but the users of this forum is large so the badwidth stays the same...i come on at times when i think it may not be as full...but have never had any probs with uploading/downloading...
