hope someone can help. have dvd player v1.14 on my 6600. when i try to watch a film it comes up with "general erro:-5, app closed my thread name". have tried formatting phone and memory card but still get the same error. hope someone can help.

install xvid codec 1.2.. must solve the problem..

it's sooo easy
it's coz da DVD player on ur phone use Xvid codecs
while da movie u r trying 2 play was compressed wiz something else!!
don't format ur phone or anything
it's not ur phone it's da movie when was compressed they used a different codecs than Xvid

look 2 make it work u got 2 compress da mpvie u have on ur pc wiz Xvid Codecs too and i'm sure 100% it will work :-P

Dvd player doesnt really play movies as smoothly as smart movie player and i feel that it is not stable and not user friendly.

due to your info looked along the lines of incorrect codec and found i was using an old version of ffdshow. downloaded new version and installed on pc. recompressed film clip and installed it to mmc card. guess what dvd player v1.14 plays it fine now.

i would like to say many thanks for your help and if this forum was not around i would have given up.
