yes this is a bug that 3230 has. although it has the same os version as 6600 and 7610 it doesn´t have this option. you will have to use msdriveE to do it like it is done on ngage.
i suppose a new firmware version will solve this but until then you will just gonna have to use that app.

My Nokia 6600 has got no such option as well... thought this has always ben non-existent and that's why the call for 3rd party software for all smses to be saved in MMC... correct me if I am wrong :D ...

it will because of hot swappable MMC card used in Nokia N3230 phone. so this features is being removed by nokia.

You are wrong, I have seen this Option in many Nokia 6600 and I am 100% sure it exists in Nokia 6600. Might be the firmware version that you are using is Old.

why would you want msdrivee on 6600 when it already supports saving sms/mms on memory card?

msdrivee has worked for me on two 3230's. first time you use it, nothing seems
to happen, but just wait for at least 15 seconds and you will see that a memory
card picture is now on your inbox....

just remember when switching to another memory card, you will have to run msdrivee again....

with this app I was able to transfer my messages from my 3650 memory card
to the memory card on my 3230....

originally this app was for the ngage and other hot swapping nokia phones, but
it also seems to work with the 6260 as well...

Ms Drvre is not required on n6600

This is used only for 3230 as the phone does not support memory card for storing the Message BOx
