I see there is no topic for compatibility of the N-Gage games with 668x series with 252k screens, so I'll create this one.

So up to know, tested and working flawlessly are the following...

All the games function simultaneously on my phone, no need to uninstall one game to play another. I keep all the libs in the /System/Libs directory. Some libs coincide (gameutils.dll for example) and I just kept the newest file.

I don't know what other N-gage games are there, so I don't have a "not yet tested" section. As soon as I will have other games to test, I will test them :D

My question is do those games that aren't working work on the 6630? Do they totally not start, or the screen shows 2 screens and messed up colors?

where do you get fixes? what is the fixes for? will there be any fixes for 252k colors... Im willing to try and hack some, but I haven't got my phone yet =(

The games that have a no, they totally not start (or some display only the N-gage black screen and then they exit the game). If you are in offline mode and just rebooted (recommended) none will show a memory error.

I got a fix from this forum for KOF, that works on both 7610 and 668x :D I don't know if they are differences, but the 252k screen is just a marketing thing and also a pain in the ass. It doesn't compare with SE or Samsung's 252k screens, yet some games are incompatible with that :evil:

Ashalt Urban GT Doesn't work,First time gave me memory full error and after i restarted the fone it gave me the two screen with garbled up color's and just came back to the desktop(same on my frnds 6680 also)

Sega rally is like it was on sega console but worse, far worse . By far the worst ngage game in my opinion ... Though the only car racing game that works with proper colour on other phones. Between a rock and a hard place im afraid...

hey, just to add in. KOF extreme do work. but the game play is affected as ngage has a 8 way joystick while 6680/1/2 has a 4 way one. so you cant use most combos in the game.

Need help.. after installed POCKET KINGDOM OWN THE WORLD and some other games on my N6680, i only get the 'Memory Full' or 'Out Of Memory' message.
Can anything be done? :(

How did you get 9mb of free memory?I only have 8.5mb free,after restart and with no extra programs running in background.I have 3.04.37 01-06-05.With 2.04.15 i only had 7.9mb free.

I've tried several games, many listed as working on the 6680 - none do. Bomberman, Tiger woods 2004, Operation Shadow, and another one I can't recall.

I've gotten to see the NGAGE loading screen, then it goes back to menu - or I go back to menu immediately. :(

high seizure pwnpda works perfect on 6680 . No need for patch ...*edit update* high seizure binpda works on 6680 too when using patch 1.1 posted by falconz @ patch topic :-) :-) is better too as saves approx 5mb install size on pwnpda version.

I don't get it, i thought aspahlt 2 isn't working....... it doesn't even start... how come there's this kind of problem???

Most of the newer N-gage games won't work with the 6680, partly due to the lack of RAM in the 6680. Please check the list to see if your game works.

To free up the memory, exit all applications (by holding the 'menu' button and then press 'c' on which app you would like to close) and put your phone on silent, there will still be in-game sound though. Try restarting it if doesn't work, if there is still a problem, then the game isn't compatible with the 6680.

I am still trying to work out how to play Worms on 6680. I just cant get it to start. =( I have had it start on a 6630 ONCE, with bad colours. Now that we have the color hack, it should be possible to play worms on 6630 + 6680.

However I just cant get it to start =( any ideas?

I have heard some people have been able to start worms on 6680, but they never said how they did it....

Anyone keen to try it again? I have tried using DMOE's latest OS8 libs pack.....

There appears to be a ram issue to, so I have disabled active desktop, to save abit more ram, however I think its still missing ram to play the game.

The 6630 played it just once, in Offline mode, and bluetooth on, I cannot make it play again =(

king of figters extrem work on 6680 ok and 4 directional joy is no problem diagonally arrow you can do if you press <- and down in the same time (i can do all combos)

I cracked Rifts (BinPDA release) to work on my 6681!
later i'll give the link (or attach here) the patch, after testing.
In russia some people test the patch, if all ok, u will play the game too :)

Again BinPDA and something like two small game screens with bad color with "Low Memory" and ok button. After it i restart phone and compress memory. game starts ok, next - red button and run color fix, after it return to game and everything is ok.
Note: Game works for me only in General(key sound off) or Silent profiles, and BlueTooth ON.

lol, what are you saying, do you really have a 6680? after a restart and without any running progs, the phone has 7688kb free RAM...

Sorry but you are saying lots of bullsh*t.

If you get only 7688kb of free RAM is because your phone has problems. Try first removing the theme you are using (use ONLY the default Nokia theme, other themes can take up lots of memory) then remove unused apps, above all the ones that install demons on the phone (I mean the apps which start automatically everytime the phone boots).

My 6680 has an average of 8400 / 8800 of free RAM and sometimes with the phone really empty (after a full format for example) I was able to free up even 9000+ of available RAM.

The point is that most people tend to install the more apps they can on their phone trying to make it as "nice" as possible with themes and other cool stuff without knowing that these things take up lots of memory. Let's face it, the Nokia 6680 by itself has very few RAM (shame on Nokia..) so you should be careful to choice what to install on the phone: try installing as less programs as you can (only the *very* needed) and avoid "cool" stuff like themes, full screen caller programs, etc.

Otherwise forget to play big games on it (RAM will not be enough).

I've managed to make Roots (PWNPDA version) worked on my 6681. Just follow the steps:
Download wl's patch here:
http://file.dimonvideo.ru/uploads/public/wl/Roots_s60_by_wl.rar then overwrite 6R55.app.

1. Create a new character
2. Select New game and select single player
3. Press back 3 times (now you're on the character select screen)
4. Choose your character & press play
5. select New game
6. Choose the level
7. Select Single player & Enjoy!

Alternate way:
1. Create a new character
2. Select new game & select multiplayer game, then a message will appear: "Roots: feature not supported" then it shows "awaiting clents...." press back
3. Choose the character you've created & press play
4. Select New game
5. Choose the level
6. Select Single player & Enjoy!

Note: Bluetooth must be turned on. You need at least 8 mb of RAM

The patch has many bugs though, you cant even exit the game.
To exit just press the red button then open appman then kill the application :)

Just put the files in your libs folder, much more compact, and doesn't eat alot of your phone's memory (not ram!). It can also run other ngage games.

also tryed tiger wood with [MFIX] but i had problems with restarting on exit,and guess what, the problem was in CRYPTALG.DLL which is included in MFIX. So by removing CRYPTALG.DLL (and i also deleted BIGINT.DLL) I was finally able to play this game.(BT on)


Somebody should try the same thing in fifa 2005(delete the cryptalg.dll).Maybe this could solve the problem with restarting on exit!!!

without this libs(bigint/cryptalg) the problem with phone restart really disappears: the game doesn't work at all, hehe. To avoid restart phone and get sounds in FIFA, press the Voice Call button (on left edge of ur phone) while the game is loading.

hey, just to add in. KOF extreme do work. but the game play is affected as ngage has a 8 way joystick while 6680/1/2 has a 4 way one. so you cant use most combos in the game.

andytws: if your 6680 ran out of memory try closing some apps by pressing and holding the menu button then highlight the open apps by scrolling to it and press c button. i thought it might help you. but if it still out of memory..... i thought you have installed FExplorer. open it and go to task. close some open programs there like Log, or so others.... also try to close some auto running programs like FSCaller, KeyLocker, PowerDictaphone, Spycall...etc...... if it still doesn't restart your phone and do eveyrthing from the start i told you........... If it didn't help then smash your phone... it desreves it...... anyway i'm enjoying now WWP.

operation shadow, sonicN, splintercell, segarally, king of fighters, asphalt gt1... works perfectly without turning the bluetooth on.

Highseize works perfectly with bluetooth on.

Pathway to glory, pathway to glory----island, xmen legends 1, xmen legends 2, One works fine with bluetooth on but when exiting the game, phone restarts.

Is there anyway to avoid this rebooting when exiting the game?

well, no way to do this except producing a fully working crack. also this 'reboots' may result of losing your sava data. it happened me twice then i give up playing n-gage games on 6680.

Fix for Rift~
Here's the solution for this. Once u've start the game the first time, the game will create the save game file in C:\ System\ Apps\ 6R49.

To start the game the another time, go to the folder and do a copy of all ur save game n place it in any folder bsides 6R49 folder. Delete the 6R49 folder with all ur save file in it. Then start the game under the condition of
blutooth+color fix+lib . Make sure ur phone has really no active application running n have lots of free memory. When the game starts, u gotta "alt - tab"
out of the game. Leave the game runnin in the background. Now, go n recreate the folder 6R49 at C:\ System\ Apps\ 6R49 n put back in all ur save file tat u placed earlier on at another folder.

"alt - Tab" back into the game n continue playin it.

Hope tis helps. I did it tis way as i find tat the game cant start the 2nd time due to the error when loading the save file.

One more game that I can't get to play on my 6681 is "the roots: gates of chaos", though it's in the list of compatible games for 6681. It always appears the error: "out of memory" whenever I try to start. Noted that the error "out of memory" is different from "out of memory", which is the problem with RAM. Do any of you guys play "roots: gates of chaos" on 668x? Plz help me. (I've tried the psygate and Binpda version, and also installed the fix by wl and the all-in-one libs pack)

also, i'm confused about the sims busin out... in the sticky "NGage compatibility with all phones - All FIX here - Always up-to-date" it is listed under working games, but i is also listed under not tested yet... wtf!!

Oops. I did it again. Finally I made Ashen and The Roots: gates of chaos work well on my device. So I proudly and happily add them to the list of N-gage games that really work on 668x as the 17th and 18th games.

y is worms world party not on the list? it works fine in my 6680 and color fix... no probs in running it on my fone... ive just installed it along w/ binpda fix (even though it works w/o a fix) last week and i dont see any probs running it except for the color fix... can anyone make an automatic color fix just like in asphalt 2?

Hey dude, I know that WWP is in the list of compatible games for 668x but I haven't tested it yet. I also know of a problem of WWP, that is you won't be able to play the game without trying 30 times starting it. This is a serious problem for a game to be listed as "working well" on 668x.

Yup, the fact is that the list had been made a long time ago, but no one know who's the tester. The games mentioned above were tested by me, so I'm sure they're 100% well working, without crashes and bugs.The problem with starting WWP is well-known, so if WWP played normally on your device, then won't you mind posting the libs of yours using to play it?That would be nice of you.

well WWP is the only ngage game i have and play. i deleted the binpda fix so all in all theres no fix in my fone... all i have in my libs are those from the preinstalled apps.

It's not quite convincing, dude. I agree that WWP really works on 668x (I've installed and tested it) but it didn't start until the twentieth time I pushed the game icon. For the rest, the splash screen of N-gage appeared and then I was kicked back to the fone menu. That's quite a problem and I think no one will be patient enough to play that game. I think you should try the game one or two more times and tell me the result.
By the way, what is the BinPDA fix for WWP? I've never heard of that. Can you post it?
