I can confirm that US Map v566 works with TomTom v5.21. You need to first install TomTom v5.0 and the maps. Then you can upgrade to v5.21. If you just install v5.21, it asks you to activate the maps.

If you want to install Tomtom 5 on your phone, you need tomtom mobile 5 and a phone which runs either windows mobile or symbian os. If your phone doesn't run on any of these operating systems you can't install tomtom mobile 5 on it.

I installed 5.21 cracked version. It can only see the Guam map but not the USA map. Does anyone have any idea how to get it to see US maps or can share working US maps for 5.21?

try another map. if the other map works, you usa map is not good.

whta version of the guam map do you have? I am not sure but if the guam map is version 568 you cannot use another 568 map (if your usa map is 568 this will not work).

The Guam map is v567. The US maps I have is v566. None of the US maps would work but the Guam one works fine. If anyone has v567 US maps please share if possible.

If you have problems using the 566 US maps, use TomTom 5.0 (not 5.21), links to the DL earlier in this thread - worked for me !

If anybody knows how to use the 566 maps in TTN 5.21, please post the info !

I have to downgrade to TomTom 5.0 to see US maps as well. Sure would be nice to have 5.21 though since this version is better suited for Windows Mobile 5.0, which I use. Does anyone here have v567 US maps at all?

You need the older TTN version 5.0 for the US maps (version 566) from this thread.
If someone finds a link to newer US maps (version 567 or newer), they might work with the TTN version 5.21.

Does TTN version 5.0 work properly with wm5? I do not want anything to happen to the device for it is running perfectly now. What are the drawbacks of version 5.0? Will bluetooth pairing work? Voice support? Sorry for all the questions, but this is all new to me. THANKS for the help so far.

Does TTN version 5.0 work properly with wm5?
I do not have a wm5 device yet, so I don't know...
But you can just copy the cracked 5.00 exe to your pda's navigator directory (rename it to TTN500.exe or whatever) and just launch it from there - works for me, just give it a try, as you do not install the old version, you cannot mess up your system. please report your results, as I will get the WM5 upgrade for my ipaq soon, maybe running into the same problems with the 566 maps...

note: if you downloaded a V632 map you need to add a lower map version too....because if you dont do it he will ask for activation. Guam Map will by pass that
SO:
you need a lower map version to bypass the activation code.....anything lower then v6.xx (xx stands for mumbers) because western europe is v606 you need a map that is lower then that (so v5.xx)

question:why do we chose guam_map or canary islands map????
answer: because those 2 maps are using lower storage on youre storage card or on youre small hard drive in the tomtom go or ppc system (only 3 MB).....thats why

i cant even install this program. when i click setup it crashes. damn it is so difficult to install this stupid ass program.

To hell with this program. I have downloaded mapopolis. It is not as pretty and does not have stupid voices, but it works and I have a crack for the maps and they are small. Stupid ass tomtom maps are way to big.

I have moved on from tomtom. Too much hassle. Download mapopolis for ppc. It is MUCH BETTER. the program is cracked and all you have to do is download the demo maps from their site and they are unlocked. The size of the maps are much smaller than tomtom.

There are too many damn version of tomtom around and its a bitch to install, the maps are old an inaccurate and half of time they just don't work.

sorry for the rant, but i am tired of fooling with tomtom.

I downloaded all 240MB of this but it only has 11 states plus DC. Do you have the rest? I haven't tested if they are v567 since that would entail uninstalling my working TomTom 5.0. I'm trusting that they are v567. Please upload the rest of the states if possible.

Hello everyone,

I just installed tomtom 5.210 (5430) with some maps. aut,de,ch,cz,po - maps of eastern europe, austria swiss; It seems the application works on the ppc! but no map works here. I also have guam map installed but nothing works without activation key! has anyone a key generator? or how can I make these mapa work? I also tried an ols key generator but they changed the algorithm it seems like that. any help is appreciated. it is a ppc with windows mobile 2003. please help me ;-)

the interesting fact is that all maps are working on my smartphone - n70....
but my pda seems to be not to work :-(

Install the tomtom v5 as per instructions

then run the setup.exe from inside here and tell it to install to the sd card (will still install what it needs to the pda)

then copy the TomTom Navigator.exe from the cracked folder to

\Program Files\Navigator

overwriting the original, it should now work, mine did

Connect ot one of the servers (say DonkeyServer No1) and then do a search for "tomtom 567" and choose the Global (Servers) method for search and all the current files including the one mentioned above should come up...

Connect to both a server and Kad as that would get you the file quicker.

Anyone who has access to newsgroups can get the complete USA maps for 5.21 at alt.binaries.warez.pocketpc.gps. The file size is about 4.5gig but all of the states are in .cab format. install it, and it works fine.

Hello.
I am not an expert, but usually when I got that problem is version of the maps the reason for not showing.
For exampel. TomTom 5.21 does not shows version of USA 5.66 or before.
For 5.21 you have to have USA maps 5.67. Otherwise, you have to use TomTom 5.0. If you are using maps v 3.xx or even 2.xx, than it cannot work with TomTom versions v5xx.

Is there anyone who has TomTom :heart: Sylvia:heart: voice, and can share it to me. Please.

If I understand your problem correctly:

install TomTom
put the usa map on your storage card
put the guam map on your card as well, because this one is activated

when you start tomtom you can choose the map you like

Hi all. I've installed TomTom v.5.21 (downloaded as a .rar file containing 5 .cab files and a crack folder) on a MDA Vario. All working except the only voice is French (voice12.cab). I've tried some of the voices posted on this thread and put the files in the folders suggested but they don't show up- ?incompatible. I've created a voices folder on the SD card and put files in there but no luck.
Anyone any ideas how to get these voices working (John Cleese, Sarah Michelle Gellar etc)? Or preferably anyone got the jane voice.cab that I can just copy to the device and run?

no chance with goam map.... all maps are working on my n70 but not on the pda. I tried everything mentioned on these pages but nothing works. has anyone a crack or something like that???

hi guys

i installed 5.21 directly but somehow it doesnt work. before i crack it. i can run the programme through the set up process all fine and dandy until they ask for the activation code which i apparently do not have.

however. after cracking, i cannot even launch the programme. it just hangs there.

could someone point me to the direction of 5.21 that i can download? i just installed my 5.21 directly without installing 5.0 and then 5.1. would appreciate all the help i can get on this as i will be flying off soon and hope to get it done by then.

okie for the guys that lived in california here is the north part it will work with 5.21 just make sure you copy the cab file to your storage card and run it it. if its not in main storage card dir then cut and paste it there. these are 6 part gather all 6 together and extract.

I have successfully installed TomTom 5.21 - I assume it, cause the program starts up and does not ask for an activation code. But the TomTom screen also says, that it does not find any maps (I have copied the Guam-Maps and Missouri maps to my storage card).
So where do I tell TomTom where to find the maps? Do they have to be in a special directory?

sorry, I had so much troubles in that case now it is solved!
I stopped reading exactly whats in the threads because nothing helped me.

but now I am happy:

I just installed TOMTOM 5.2.1 from the crach here in this forum, then as instructed I replaced TOMTOM.exe with the cracked one. after that I installed the guam map - I run the whole thing and the I installed the other maps. important: guam map has like all tomtom maps a .pna file. this has in row three a number. all other maps have also a number in their .pna file - but this number has to be bigger than from the guam map. all other maps do not work anymore - thats what I saw!

hi there

i seem to be having some problem with the crack posted on pg45 or so. it appears when i launched the programme with the crack, sometimes it would launch and sometimes it would not. and when it does launch, i go thru the setup and all is fine until they ask me to select the voice, which i did not install and after i press select, it just exits the programme.

is there something that i did wrong?

you have to install at least one voice otherwise the program will abend.

voices --> root of your pocket pc /voices (containing a .vif, a .chk file).

you did everything correct, so there should be no problem. I did not use the setup file you are using.

I have qtek 9000 that is like your universal.
I had the same your problem and I have randomly solved.
The last time that I've reinstalled tomtom 5.21 on the last installation (without soft reset), I've forgotten to copy the cracked file; I've run tomtom with guam map and than I've changed map.
Now tomtom is working without problem.
Try this way and I'll wait for your answer.

finally got tom tom to work. thanks to badboybenno for your link and files. they were the solution.

just a quick check, when i turn my phone off, i am not able to connect to my bluetooth GPS device because it says flight mode on, even though my BT is on. however, when my phone is on, only then can i use the gps.

as i am currently overseas and do not need the phone to be on, is there any other way around this? such a a program or something?

How about putting a password on the SIM. Then, when you turn the phone on and the phone app asks for your password just ignore it. This way your phone app is running (not in flight mode) but won't work or connect to carrier without password. If you're using WA go to Desktop to put the phone app in the background. it´s a known trouble in wm2003se. universal runs wm5, maybe the workaraound works, too.
use a registry editor and go (universal in flight mode)

once again, i don´t know how wm5 deal with it. but it in wm2003 it´s just a flag, and the phone will not be switched.

another idea: there is a small tool called restartradio.exe. especially designed to handle this on older ppcs.

it seems uploading is not possible so far, google will help you or you can pm your email and i will send it.

just an update...i just found out that if when u install new mapes and
tomtom cant see them...then copy the .cfg file to your new map folder
and rename it to what the map is...I.E if it is called Great-Britain-Map.cfg
then just rename it to Florida-map.cfg and tomtom will see it..

works good on my lifedrive :)

Ive done a silly thing.

Installed cracked tomtom 5, then installed the 5.21 update from tomtom website. totaly shagged my system. uninstalled all tomtom software, then tryed reinstalling just TT5, but no joy, just crashes!

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello all, I am new to the tomtom world. I have the 5.21 update working. I´´ve DLed the mallorca map, but tomtom does not find it. Is their somewhere special I should be putting the Maps.

I have tried, a separate folder on my SD.
Also tried putting the map folder directly under Navigator folder.
Also tried putting the all the files in the same folder.
HELP!

you need to put the maps in the root of your storage card. and also the maps must be of the correct version.

for example, if you use USA maps, it must be v567 and above to work on 5.21. anything lower will not be recognised by 5.21. so its somethin similar for your maps i guess.

I have just DL the maps from the last link a few pages ago, how do I know what version my mallorca map is.

vapor, the link I used is on page 45 (mallorca).

Also I don´t seem to have any settings for TOMTOM. When I start it all I see is the screen showing no maps found. FYI, i DLed the 5.21 update and install that, was I suppose to have a full version of TomTom already installed???

I've *finally* got it installed..... I mean, i've been trying for hours, i guess it's being difficult! I've tried the myriad of ways in the post, but once i put the cracked app in, what it does it gives me a frozen screen when i click the map (i always try the Guam-map first). However, it ALWAYS freezes. I've tried the australian map too and it just freezes. Have i made a bad move somewhere?

I got it working!
Finally!!
One thing you MUST have in WM5 is in "my documents" there should be a tomtom folder, in that there should be setup.dat - Once i added that file it all worked!

Thanks heaps, it works VERY well using a Globalsat BT-308!

I have a friend who is using TomTom on iPaq 3850 as well. Go to the beginning of this (page 5 or 6, I think) and download the app only for v5 then update to v5.1. That's what worked for my friend using US map v566.

I'm also looking for v567 US state maps and whole country. Can someone share the maps or show me where to find them? All the maps I've found so far are v566. Thanks so much

These maps are version 567

566 and before will not work with 5.21
567+ work with 5.21

These maps may not work with versions before 5.21 , I do not know since i never tried

i believe version 6 maps are out next month....

I have a question. I am using a Palm with TomTom 5. I can use either 5.66 or 5.67 maps. My question is are the 5.67 updated maps or are they basically the same as the 5.66. I dint want to waste time d/ling 5.67 if they are the same.

I am preety sure, they are the same. The only difference is, that TomTom 5.2x is not working with 5.66 maps, so if you want to use up to date software, you should get 5.67 maps.
I'ts comming 6.x maps very soon and Tomtom version 6 also. So if Tomtom is working for you on 5.66, then just wait. It should be out till end of this month.

I got it working!
Finally!!
One thing you MUST have in WM5 is in "my documents" there should be a tomtom folder, in that there should be setup.dat - Once i added that file it all worked!

Thanks heaps, it works VERY well using a Globalsat BT-308!

Where is the file, setup.dat? I'm having the same problem you had in that when I click on a map the screen freezes. Please help?

OK, I figured it out. I extracted .000 file (there are 11 files) from the cab file of the map then renamed it to setup.dat. I then created a folder called TomTom in My Documents and pasted the setup.dat file there and it now works.

I have read this thread from Page 1 to the last page but I could not find a working link to Tomtom 5.21 for Pocket PC. Many people gave the link to Rapidshare but I've never managed to download one. Could somebody please post the working link? Thanks in advance.

If you have managed to get hold of an earlier version here is an update to 5.21 for Palm and Pocket PC (the crack is for Pocket PC only I think, sorry..)

Same here, I installed, started program, sees only the Guam map and is asking me for registeration code. I exit program and then placed the Crack and restarted TomTom, PPC hangs.

Anyone can help, please......been trying to get TomTom to work for me for a couple of weeks now without any luck.

If I install 5.20 it does not install to my PPC directly, but to the SD Card if I place it in my PC. But when it runs, its a pain but it does recognize both maps.

I have no Idea what else to try. Maybe if someone has a full working 5.20 they can upload and I may try it again.

Don't give up just yet. I also had problems with the cracked TomTom hanging on me and requiring closing from memory. Are you running WM5? After many trials and errors, what I did to get it working perfect was this:

1) unintall TomTom and manually delete all remaining files/folders on main memory and storage card
2) move all cab files from v5.0 to storage card then manually install cab files from PPC to storage card (don't install from PC)
3) move all cab files from v5.21 to storage card and install from PPC to storage card (it'll remove old version and ask you to reset phone when done)
4) delete \program files\navigator folder from main memory (verify that you have \program files\navigator folder in storage card first)
5) copy cracked TomTom app to \storage card\program files\navigator
6) go to \windows\start menu\programs and change the TomTom shortcut path to \storage card\program files\navigator\TomTom Navigator.exe
7) extract .000 file (should have 11 files from .000 to .010) from any v567 US map using WinRar to the PC then rename to setup.dat
8) put setup.dat in \storage card\my documents\tomtom\
9) verify you have \my documents\tomtom\currentmap file in main memory
10) create a folder called voice in \storage card\
11) put the same v567 US map from which you created setup.dat in \storage card\

Hopefully that helps

J007w, I am glad to try again if everything you said here will also work for my version? I am using the late but still great XDA1/Siemens SX56 running WM2003SE. Let me know man and I´ll give it another whirl.

Those 2 maps i uploaded and posted here will not work with tomtom 5/ 5.21

those maps will work only with tomtom 6.....and that will be released somewhere in September.....people.....just wait :goodman:

Thanks for the link. I've downloaded the 5.21 update but it didn't work, after i copied the crack, the program freeze. What do you mean by earlier version? Is it version 5.00? Do i need to install this version first before installing 5.21? Where can i get version 5.00? The link at the first post didn't work. Many thanks to anybody who would like to share the link.
