Overview
SmartProfiles allows automatic profiles switching according to your schedule or calendar. For each profile SmartProfiles allows the selection of additional settings such as: background animated gif, palette, alarm and calendar sounds etc.

Any user of a mobile phone and/or the Nokia 7650 had experienced the following situations: while in the office, meeting or dinner suddenly your cell phone disturbs you: incoming call!? Not now!? It's the only thing you can think about at the momeChanging FONTS on ur s60

tested: When the Fontremover works with your mobile u can install it.
but previously it is being tested in Nokia Symbian OS Platform I, Nokia 6600, 7610 and 6630.

Also prior to installing this fonts, I suggest you install FExplorer or Profiexplorer on your phone.

Here's how i do it..

Step 1:
Install the FontRemover.sis to your mobile. Once installed,launch the application and it should ask you if you want to DELETE FONT. Click on YES and it should tell you to REBOOT your MOBILE. Do NOT REBOOT YET.

Step 2:
Now send one of the font in GDR format to your MOBILE, lets say comicbold-lovekonadj.gdr. When u send it tru INFRARED, BLUETOOTH or copied tru CARD READER, DO NOT INSTALL IT!!

*tru INFRARED or BLUETOOTH - a message will come to you. DO NOT OPEN IT or DELETE IT. just go to ur (C or E):\system\mail\00001001_S\0-9, a-f) using FExplorer, look for the folder that contains the GDR FILE you send. When found, CUT IT!! do not exit to ur FExplorer or Profimail.

*tru card reader - just copy the GDR file to ur E:/, depends on where you want to put. Insert ur mmc to ur mobile and by using FExplorer or ProfiExplorer, serach the file you've copied and Cut it and follow Step 3.

Step 3. Go to C:/system and create a folder named this way "fonts" without the quotation.

Step 4. Exit FExplorer or Profimail and this is the time YOU WILL REBOOT YOUR MOBILE.

Step 5. When it starts, you should see the new font.

NOTE:

You need to understand that you can only use ONE FONT at one time. If you want to use another font, you will have to go back to step 2 & 4.

IF YOU WANT TO RESTORE YOUR DEFAULT FONT, JUST LAUNCH THE FONT REMOVER AND CLICK YES IF YOU WERE ASKED TO DELETE YOUR FONT, AND NOW REBOOT YOUR MOBILE WITHOUT DOING STEPS 2 - 4.

HOPE YOU CAN ENJOY MORE OF YOUR MOBILE!!

I will CREATE more FONTS as i can.

PS. all the fonts that i will upload is created by LOVEKONADJ.
the source of the created fonts for mobile are the FONTS installed on my WINDOWS.

and restart u'r phone.
u'r original font WILL BE BACK

i transfer the files to my MMC then i delete the fonts usin the program
then when i try to cut/copy the font files and try to put them in Z/System/Fonts, the copying process doesn't work :( and if i cut the file and when the copying fails, i lose the file :( pls help
BTW, can anyone tell me how to create .gdr mobile fonts?

haha.u need to paste it in C not in Z directory...
in Z directory u can't delete the system fonts (ceurope.gdr...etc.)...

you should copy and paste 'one' .gdr file in C:\system\fonts
thats all..

also, how do i put a new font? i put one font in the fonts folder and the rest are kept aside in C drive, i can't move/delete the font i'm using (d'uh)so i can't put any new fonts

.u can only put one font in fonts folder... so if you need to change the font just rename the C:\system\fonts folder, like C:\system\fontx and then make new folder C:\system\fonts and put your new font. restart your phone...

you can't delete or rename active .gdr font, so just follow the step above...

You need to open the app font remover to delete current font. Do not restart. After that, you need to copy your desired font to c:\system\fonts. If you prefer to used the standard font, just restart it without copying fonts.

all of u are a liar.... i've tried it 97 times.... it still did not change the system fonts... it only changes FExplorer and my time am or pm... thats all... im using 6670 and 7610... i tried on both... im a bit frustrated... i want my Silly font to change...
Why dont you tell us first what happened, what's wrong with installing your fonts and what process did you make, so we might give you some advice about your problem.

did C / system / font folder / font.gdr

and restart .... got the same problem too

Acit we are from s'pore if im not wrong
itz more on the Z drive that our service provider added extras on
like IDEAS theme that cant be deleted , im using Singtel btw
i suspected... any advice or correct me guys?

I think on new Nokia phone itl not change your font its only for older s60 models..coz ive tried this already on 6260/3230/6630 only change the font in explorer apps!

ok here goes... i did nothing wrong.. all of the instruction i did it step by step.. i tried looking at the z drive.. there is a font.. but by doing that it will cause the phone to crash.. totally crash... yes im from singapore n im using singtel and starhub.. sorry to be rude about my 1st reply.. at that moment im totally frustrated.. well i give up already.. ALL GUYS THAT REPLY MY MSG N NOT SATISFIED WITH ME: i have a plan... y dont u all buy or borrow a phone 6670 or 7610 that i have and the firmware is V5.0509.0ch RH-67 and give it a try... hope u guys dont get frustrated as i did.. to restore the original font for 6600 you just have to run Font Remover and remove the font that is installed then restart your phone or you can use Fexplorer and go to C:\System\Fonts and rename the Fonts folder to any name then Restart after restart delete the said fonts folder that you have renamed and your font is back to default.

dude try creating your own font... if you make smaller fonts, you cant read text message anymore.... so i prefer bigger fonts.. :lol:

the n90 font is not so good, the only thing tghat's nice about it is the KEYS on the Standby Screen... the Font on the Menu icons are not so good, a narrower font may be better and the font on writing txt msgs can be made smaller..

just hope it can mimic the font almost completely on the next update... (i know it can't be done completely)

to poster above maybe try manual removal of font . Use fileman and delete c\system\fonts . Now if left and phone restart should now revert back to default z drive font. Or make new font folder at address above and add new font before phone restart . Supplied here is font from 'windows vista blue' theme thats from an italian team and found at page 34 'icon and folder themes' topic(themes change all icons and app icons too for os.8,8.1) enjoy :-)

There is nothing wrong with your phone. Your phone most probably uses the chinese version (check by verifying os version - if ch is at end of version then it uses chinese ver eg. 4.0526.2ch) & that os version uses font files which are slightly different - thats why you dont see the difference in fonts. I had the same problem.. now got my phone flashed with a Non-Chinese Version of the OS & all is well :D:D:D

The other option you have is to get fonts that are mapped for this version... I've posted some here:

I've a little problem with font with Route 66 mobile 7, i've copied into e:\system the dir fonts with 5 font charset that belongs to route66 7 now n70 use these fonts Small, tiny. If i delete in E:\system\Fonts dir in system Route 66 can crash, complaint or no problem?
Anyone can confirm this?

Hi My friends.I was wondering if someone could make some fonts for me.
I'm using Easy Gdr Creator but when i load the ttf font file it only keeps the english letters from the font and not the Greek that i want.So if someone has a better way doing this please do!!! I attached two fonts (Monotype Corsiva, Garamond) which i really like. Thanks in advance!!!

if you mean formatting your phone yes you will get it back, but you can also restore your original fonts by using font remover search it in the forum, install it then open it and it will ask you if you want to delete font ( it means the customize fonts) then after deleting it restart your phone.

I change my fonts regularly but the problem is that I have Arabic on my mobile so when I change to Arabic , I can't see any text at all coz all fonts I find opn internet r in GDR without Arabic and I need to make GDR fonts with Arabic support

Yeah dude.Even i have tried that but there is no use.
And the best part is that no one is sble to give a soln. to that problem.

Yeah dude.Even i have tried that but there is no use.
And the best part is that no one is sble to give a soln. to that problem.

Some OS dont works in that way...
after u past to c/system/fonts. Ex(abcdef.gdr)
rename the file to 11x12_latin.gdr
copy the same file fename to 15x16_latin.gdr
so u have 1 file wit 2 different names
and restart.....
suppose for eg. file name is abcd.grd,
I have to rename the file to 11*12_abcd.grd and 15*16_abcd.grd
Am i right,
If iam right plz reply back.
Hope it works on my phone too.

11x12_latin.gdr

now i get it... i heard that n70 with chinese firmwares can't have their fonts changed.. which is a bad thing... and too bad for me.. i tried checking my language and there it was english and chinese... :(

anyways.. i got v5 of n70 and it sucks i can't change my font...

Agree. If you want to buy the latest nokia symbian phone, please ensure there's no chinesse writing language pre-intalled. If you have it, go to nokia centre and remove it and use english, malaysia, indonesia, philipino, etc language only as long as not a chinesse . Now you change your type of font at any time..

Why it does not working on my 6680?

I've install the font remover, deleted font, then transfer the .gdr font into my memory card by using card reader. Thereafter, i've created c:\systems\fonts and restart the phone. However there same original font still appear. I've tried several times but look like not working. Is there anything wrong on my 6680 or i didn't do the correct method. help... is there another way for me to change my font. i'm using n70 version 5.0609.2.0.1 rm-84. i followed each step correctly. but my font didn't changed except in my msdict (dictionary). help anyone please...
there are only two way to install a font:
1. if the font is .sis just install it on C
2. create a folder "Fonts" in C:/System and copy the font there ... after that restart u`re phone and the font are changed!

Go to C than System and create there a folder named 'Fonts' (you can choose anyname). Just paste your fonts(gdr files) there and restart your phone.

Thanks to this fontremover program, I brought my N-Gage QD back from the dead. Here's the story:

SOMETHING I installed had installed a font in the phone's memory. I didn't realize this until I tried to format the phone like I usually would (*#7370#) but, upon format, it would reboot with everything I originally had...no format done. Reason being was because a font was always resident in memory, and the phone would not format. I was nearly ready to have it flashed, but came across this program. I installed it, ran the font remover, and immediately formatted the phone. It worked!!! Thank you! Not exactly what it was meant for, but it helped me in a big way!

This is how its done. When some files are still in use, you can't delete it. So, maybe you've installed some font in your phone before so when you try to formatted your phone, it wasn't formatted completely because your font file was still in use. In order to completely format your phone, remove that 'in use' files.Thats it. Hope this will help other members.

Simple Instructions:

To put font:

1.Install Font remover
2.Send a .gdr file on your phone Via bluetooth or MMC card reader
(for Bluetooth) go to mailbox using a fExplorer and find your font then press cut
(MMC READER) go to your mmc (usually as drive E: ) using fExplorer then find your font then press cut
3.create a folder in C:system/ called "fonts" with no ""*
4.put the .gdr file inside**
5.restart your phone

*use an fExplorer to create a folder
**use an fExplorer to copy and paste the font

To remove font/ use default font again:

1.lunch the font remover
2. a menu will pop up and will ask if you want to delete the font click "yes"
3. Restart your phone

To change another font:

1.lunch the font remover
2.a menu will pop up and will ask if you want to delete the font click "yes"
3.Restart your phone

it`s easy to change the font... is not mandatory to use font remover or any another application ... just use FExplorer ... rename the folder "fonts" for example to "fontsm, fontsa .... etc etc" after that u can delete the folder and to use another font just make again a folder "Fonts" and put here the font ... so so easy....

Yeah,it is true.You can use 1 ttf on ur N70 or more of them (upto 5) at the same time (which is my favorite ;) See one of my mixed font packs for N70 (made by me) below :

1 ttf font on N70 (X360.ttf) :

[Only registered and activated users can see links] [Only registered and activated users can see links] [Only registered and activated users can see links]

5 ttf fonts at the same time on N70 :

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

And to say.. it is working 100%..

Here's a comparison between GDR and TTF looks of the same font (Tahoma)

Tahoma.GDR :

Tahoma & Tahoma Bold.ttf :

It's only a matter of choice...

my phone doesn't support chinesse language, so it also doesn't support chinesse char.
is there any way to make my phone so it can support chinesse language and character without changing the firmware to APAC region?

I have installed the font in my N72 and its working just great. I have few questions please answer them so i can use more good and nice fonts in future.
1) when i created fonts folder under c:\system i put there four files *.ttf, *.gdr, *.dll and also *.dll means two dll files, 1 gdr and 1 ttf file. Now If i want to use some new font which font i have to replace and which font/fonts are to be kept?
2) If i rename the folder fonts to fontx and restart and delete them afterwards will all the fonts will be go back to default one?

i have my n70 but still i can't change my font, what i do is
- remove the folder fonts using font remover
- then make new folder "fonts" on c:/system
- then paste my new font..
and after i restart my phone, the font are same like original, also my original font was remove on "fonts" file...

that was actually my problem before. the version of our n70 is not capable of changing font.

what did i do to change my phone's font?

i converted my phone to music edition. after converting it, i can now change my font and my phone now possess the additional features of n70 music edition(eg the phone never stops playing mp3 even though there's a new message, the background in my music player and many more...)...

but beware, its quite risky and be sure to back-up files of phone memory because everything will be deleted including phonebook.

if you want to convert your phone, just look at it on google, the procedures are there. hope it helps.

I thought I must update my firmware.But the details on the web, specially Nokia Europe, my version more newer than in the site!!!!Gosh...I'm so confused...Or, if sum1 hav another idea......O ya, I want to ask you, Please check on your phone, in drive Z:\System\Fonts, there are 5 files in my phone!!!!There are Browsereur.grd (89.3K), CalcEur.gdr (1.02K), Ceurope.gdr (26.6K), 11x12_latin.gdr (427K), 15x16_latin.gdr. I've checked my friends' phone, they haven't the 2 last font....(I've checked in another Nokia 3230, Nokia 6680).Please giv ur suggest...Thanks...

i have my n70 but still i can't change my font, what i do is
- remove the folder fonts using font remover
- then make new folder "fonts" on c:/system
- then paste my new font..
and after i restart my phone, the font are same like original, also my original font was remove on "fonts" file...

sumone can help me.... please..

Hey...I knew it b4.But I still can't change my font.It just change font in FExplorer and in the number mode in standby mode.My phone is Nokia 6680, V 5.04.07, 15-02-06, RM-36.
