Hello, I just bought a Panasonic X800 phone yesterday afternoon and when I was using my phone, I realised that I can only write 70 characters when I'm using the SMS function. However, the manual says that the SMS can support up to 160 characters per message. Does anyone knows what's happening to my phone?
Help is appreciated.

Did you somehow enable the chinese input or switched to chinese language? Usually 70 char is because of chinese text.
Try enabling english to see.

Its already in the English Mode. Umm, I have just found out that even though it says on the phone the max is 70 characters, if I go on and on, it'll break at 70 but when sent, it will break at 160. Weird.

I think a few adjustment on the setting will do the work.if not fixed maybe updating of the firmware will help.
