We are proud to announce a new version of Mobile Search with a major upgrade:

- search is processed also to past
- search also possible now in contacts with empty last- or firstname
- search for filenames in complete filesystem
- possibility to create log file by creating folder c:\logs\MS
- search can be started by joystick

In an upcoming version, there will be an options dialog to exclude certain areas from searching.

Mobile Search is the first complete search application for the Symbian platform. After entering any search string, the native C++ application searches for results in the following areas:

Contacts, search is processed in any field
Calendar, inclusive notes, appointments and anniverseries
Todo application
SMS
Notepad
complete file system regarding filenames
In a future version, you can also search in:

Email folders
textfiles,websites etc
After successful search, you 'll get a list with all found results, which can be directly viewed. You can also switch to the related application, when a contact is selected, you can even jump directly to the correct entry in the contacts application.

PS: Due to limitations of Smybian OS, it is not possible to switch directly to correct SMS or calendar entry, but switch will occur to correct application only. This will be hopefully fixed in a later release of Symbian
