Trick: Installing several fonts in ur phone for easy usage later. No Need to use FontRemover.sis coz you will not uninstall anything.
1. Create several fonts (GDR).
2. Upload them to "c:\system\fonts". You can use FileMan / FExplorer to paste them in to that folder.
3. After placing all the gdr fonts to that folder, open FExplorer application.
4. Browse to "c:\system\fonts" and you should be able to see the complete list of the fonts. The gdr font file that is on top of the list is the one currently active font and in use by ur phone.
5. To use another font without uninstalling the currently used font, just rename any gdr file and make it go on top of the list when viewed on FExplorer.
6. A simple way to do this is to place zero / zeroes (0) in the beginning of the filename.
7. For example if are currently using "arial.gdr" and you want to use "calisto.gdr". Just rename "calisto.gdr" to "0calisto.gdr". In doing this you will make this file on top of the list and make it the active font.
8. After renaming the gdr file. You must restart your phone before changes will take place.
Additional Info:
I. If want to turnoff the gdr font you are current using and go back to the default font used by your symbian phone without uninstalling / removing anything. Just go to "c:\system" directory and rename the "c:\system\fonts" folder. Ideally in order to make it less confusing and simple you can rename the "fonts" folder to "fontsOFF" and if you decide to use it again in the future just rename it to "fonts" again. (Phone needs to be restarted as always in order to make the changes take effect!)
II. Before you compile ur font setup to gdr using the Easy GDR Creator make sure that only the sms text messaging font is using Symbol/Unicode format and the rest ASCII/Unicode. This will somewhat lessen the filesize of the generated gdr font since you dont need symbols in the the other sections.
