It's true mate, this phone is really expensive (in Italy they sell it for more than 700€!) but I bought it for less, giving my "old" 6630 in exchange!

al last i find alist of app that work N90

I love this phone..i will try to get it in a month or two..It's still very10x expensive..gosh! hope it goes down..i do not know what makes it so expensive..

I didn't try UltraMP3 cause N90 already has a good built-in mp3 player, and I prefer OggPlay for playlists!

Nokia symbian never cheap and this phone with its V.I.P lense is no different . Still you do get a flashy phone !

Zipman works but very buggey :sad:

Every application has bugs, N90 has a totally different resolution compared to other Symbian phones...

in my country (Jordan) it is still not available

N90 actually had delay luanch before announcement by Nokia.

may be there have a lot problem not yet solve.

You're welcome, Mark! :) I haven't tried N-Gage games, but I will do it soon! Applications aren't so smooth as it is on 6630, due to resolution problems.... sometimens the phone hangs and must be rebooted, even with Symbian8-designed software. I'm afraid it will take some time before software houses begin to work on this new platform (most of them didn't even test the phone yet!)

i see so all the rumours are confirmed. the new feature pack3 os the OS version of the N90 and the greater resolution is causing these imcompatibilities.
if the apps don´t work good i doubt any ngage game will work since they are made for 4k screens.
anyway let us know when you try them :)

FIFA 2004 for Ngage also works on my N90. Altough i had a crash once - the phone resetted. I'm very happy with this phone cause i got it for about 200 Euro (I had to extend the contract for 2 years). Only some programs like a call recorder don't work well.

my MP3 player loaded in the mmc of N90 was not running properly.. I downloaded the one present on this forum and it works perfectly :D

I've installed with success also mobiluck, agile messenger, worldmate and some games... not yet NGAGE games, I will try too!

infact.. all the apps are easily adaptable to N90.. the only issue is related to display resolution. many games are displayed only on the top-left corner of my dispalay with 1/4 of the total display space..

Try to install v1.45 first, register with keygen and then overwrite with v1.51. This trick works fine, guaranteed! ;)

guys is n90 slow or sumthing i used it in a shop n when i tried to open da gallery in landscape it ws kind of slow ............... but i think it got da highest ram so wat u guys say abt ur n90..........

off course the N90 is slow if you read the review on phone review section you would have know it.
its not the RAM its the processor that has the same speed as a 6630 and has to handle all that technology.
anyway this is not the place to discuss that. go to N90 review for that.

Same OS but different camera and screen resolution, anyway programs listed here should work fine on N70 too!

Is there any body upgrade his/her N0kia N90 to the latest version in UK? I just went to C**phone warehouse yesterday, the manager said not yet.

If I understood what you were aking, I suggest you to use an application like PowerMP3 or Alon Mp3 Player to create a playlist!

It wasnly a matter of time this topic would be stickified sooner or later...

The nseries is really the next gen of mobile phones and eachone is special in there own way... N90 is really a new and diff phone from the bunch even from the 2006 phone bunch such as the N71...

If you (or anybody else) have all this applications listed in this topic add them to Zip directory(Make a zip file containing the apps)and upload the zip file somewhere(rapidshare,megaupload,etc)....i dont think you will have any problem...its boring but will help a lot of people here.....:)

Helix Producer is a PC application that lets you encode any kind of video (avi, mpeg, mov...) into RealPlayer format, while Helix Player is the phone-side application that lets you view these videos (basically it's not that different from RealPlayer!!!)

well i tried to download again and it didnt work, so i realized the problem that in my download manager ( Download Accelerator Plus 8.0 ) i desabled it and downloaded the file. it took hours to be downloaded because of the slow connection, so thank you for the notice and hope i can help you in other things :)

Amazing thread.

I just purchased the N90 last week. Amazing camera, amazing functionallity, this is just an amazing phone.

One complaint, I was a little upset at the compatibility compaired to my old N6630. I really liked my N6630 and what it could do. After getting the N90, I first noticed the screen resolution difference and the behavior of the software baised on resolution.
I see now that alot of software is becoming 'Scailable' to the native screen resolution to solve this problem. Just wish there was a nintendo emulator that worked on this phone.

I am so thankfull for this thread, as I would have to try all my old applications by trial and error in order to see what I can install to this device.

Also, bigups to daddyfatsax & the massize compatibility mega apps file.

P.S.,
Safraz, The N90 is a big phone, but what it lacks in super portibility, it makes up in 'AW Factor'. My girlfriend has a Windows moble phone and hers is twice as big as the n90. My n90 is not that far from my olf 6630s size.
Altogether, its an amazing phone.

Maybe this isn't the right thread but I thought it was an important warning :)

/!\ DO NOT... I repeat DO NOT under any circumstance install Keypad+ on 90 /!\

The app doesn't work properly as it's only in the left upper corner of the screen but much much worse : YOU CAN'T UNINSTALL IT.

It is almost impossible to locate which thread(s) it uses.

So again REALLY REALLY BAD IDEA to install it.

Procedure to remove :

1) Run deactivate option from app menu & reboot
2) Download & install a threads manager
3) Kick as many threads as you can
4) Try to uninstall the app (luckily you managed to kick the right thread)

This is really shit... took me 3 hours to get it out :) better not install it in the first place.

Another info : L3's Health Calc (at least the official version) not working on N90 (though this one you can uninstall easily).

L3's PersonalTrainer not working on N90 (lib error).

Worse! If you have AutoCalc and you install PT, it'll install over AutoCalc :roll:

PS : it might no be specific to N90.

I got to ask all n90 users,....
When I got the phone, I transfered my contacts from my 6630 to it and noticed that when someone called my, the thumbnail picture of them was super small with a white border.

So.... I re-linked all my thumbnails in the n90s contacts - problem solved,....
or is it????

.... ok so I installed POWERCALL-ID (a fullscreen caller program) and I did not like the idea that I could not access speakerphone with it so I uninstalled it.
Now here is my problem,... All of my contact thumbnail pictures show up zoomed in and with half of the picture chopped off at the left and right sides.

Is this normal? or did the application screw up my n90s contacts?

If so, then this is an application to stay away from.

my mates got a n90 and i carnt thell the difference between that and my n70 except the shape and the n90 looks to have a better screen resolution

This kind of apps are useless (on N90, of course), you should always keep the flip open to watch videos on incoming calls! :rolleyes:

Does anyone actually have good results with any answering machine, be it IVCM, Phone Pilot, or Smart Answer?

Everytime use one of those, the software does work, but the problem is that the message is played on the loud speaker and the person calling's voice is on the loudspeaker. That's not very discreet specially when you're in a meeting.

Can anyone provide me with a working version?

I did a search around the forum and installed all the softwares, but all of them give the same problem. I think it's because the loudspeaker is activated automatically when the phone is closed.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

where can get this apps??

i had a classic n-gage before. then, God Blessed me with enough money to trade my n-gage and add a few bucks with the N90. there are some disadvantages and BIG advantages on that action that i did (on the games, it not full screen, some applications doesn't work). but in the end, i realized, it still uses CARL ZEISS optics (the same lenses that are used in laboratories - microscopes, etc.). resolution is very good. only few phones has these kinds. and i have one of those kinds. auto focus? self timer? red eye reduction? N90 has it all. and it can hold on to 1G memory. u can install mp3's, lotsa pics, videos, etc.. ITS ALL GOOOOOOD!

i have been browsing this site for months now, and i hope i could help by posting the applications that i have in my phone right now (i considered them useful, and the best that i have).. enjoy!

* TWT SMS Reader - reads ur new msgs clearly.

* N-SMS - multi sms, fake sms, scheduled, etc.. cool!

* SMS Machine - auto reply on selected ppl when they text or call. tru text.

* X Caller - phone rings automatically when scheduled.

* N Private - msgs from selected ppl will be hidden on this program, others wont see it on ur inbox, has pass so others wont be able to read them. even the sent msgs, log, etc.. no trace.. :partyman:

* Office Suite - MS Word, Excel, etc, can be editted, read, and be saved.

* Mobi Reader - eBook reader (Harry Potter, and other books can be read on this app).

* Ring Out Tone - instead of listening on the usual "kkrrringgg kkkrringgg" on ur phone when u call, u hear ur selected music (mp3 included) instead.
