Amstrad CPC emulator for series 60 V0.1

Presentation:
S60-CPC is an Amstrad CPC emulator for symbian S60 phones.
After I received my Siemens SX1, I found GameBoy, NES, C64, MSX, MAME, etc. emulators for Series 60. But I wasn't able to find any CPC emulator. So, I decided to port one of the existing emulator to Symbian.
S60-CPC is based on WIN-CPC by Ludovic Deplanque for the core emulation.
The main architecture is based on those of EDoom by Peter van Sebille, a Doom Port for Symbian UIQ (which I partially ported to S60).

What's new:
24/09/05 - Initial Release V0.1

Planned modifications for next versions
- Support for snapshots.
- Support for frameskip.
- Support for DSK dependant config files (so each game would have its own keys, display, audio, etc. settings).
- Add a screen rotation choice (left/right).
- Maybe, I will add links to some CPC games I wrote in the late 80's.

Compatibility
S60-CPC has been successfully tested on the following phones : Siemens SX1, Nokia 6600.
If your phone isn't listed in the above list, you can send me an email to tell me if it works or not.

You could find CPC games here:
NVG archive (ftp://ftp.nvg.ntnu.no/pub/cpc/)
CPC Game Review (http://www.cpcgamereviews.com/) : nice site with reviews and screenshots of a lot of games.

From the author:
To run a game you need to launch it as you would do on a real CPC.
First, using the virtual keyboard, type "cat" to list the files on the disk (don't forget the ENTER key at the end of the command). Then find the file which will launch the game (.BAS extension or no extension) and type run"this filename
For example to launch "fruity frank", you need to type run"fruity
Also you could assign the run"fruity command to a key of the phone, so next time you run S60-CPC, it will launch the game only by pressing this key.

This is nice. I like seing classic computer emulated on my phone. I have been really enjoying running some of my old commie 64 demo group's stuff in Frodo, now I can mess with another emulator...although we never coded on this one :) I would still love to see an MSX emulator as well.

Ι've tried to run this emulator on my 6680 in the past without luck. I had an amstrad cpc 6128 in the and i'm familiar with the commands. Guess that i will still have to use Caprice (CPC Emu) on my PC.
