Wi-Fi networks are fast, but they are not nationwide, so I started investigating using your cellphone as a modem for internet access from your laptop. There is ALOT of information out there. I understand Bluetooth could solve my problems.

I'm trying to provide a laptop with nationwide internet access.
I am open to trying any service, and any combination of technology/hardware. However, I am not considering purchasing a new laptop.

What Combination Of Cell Phone, Service Provider, and Laptop Hardware do I need to have great nationwide internet access???

I have a few specific questions.

1) Which Cellphone has the best bluetooth for internet access?

I have decided that I need to get a BT phone in order to avoid the hassle of wires connected to my laptop. Which phone offers the best BT capability? Should I get a newer BT 2.0? Or is 1.2 or even 1.1 just as fast?

2) Which Service provider offers the best internet acessibility and performance?

I know that cell-phones already offer internet accessibility but which phone and service would best serve as a modem for my laptop? So far, I have decided that I might be able to get access using Verizon's Express Network (Sizzling - Free Wireless Broadband For Verizon Customers) Is that still available? Any other suggestions?

Can you guy help me connect my laptop nationwide?

It doesnt matter if u have 1.2 or 2.0 because the 1.2 has bandwith 723 kbit/s and even if you have umts you will not be able to reach the full potential of the bluetooth. Umts has bandwith of 364 kbit/s. UMTS is 3g. so any bluetooth will sufice. I reccomend 1.2 or above.
