Troubleshooting:
If you try to save your results to avi file and an error appears about not having the needed audio decoder (but if you can watch the original version of the video in a standard player alright), then open the video file in Winamp (any version with the disk writer output plugin will do) stop the movie for now (actually pressing the stop button and not pause). Then press Ctrl + P to open up the Preferences dialog, now under Plugins there should be a section that says Output, select that and it should show you a list of the plugins used to output sound. Select the Disk Writer plugin and press the configure button on the bottom. In the single file mode section there should be a checkbox that says Enable, make sure that this checkbox is checked. Choose where your output file is going to go. Now where it says format click that button and select the PCM format and for the attributes... just select the last option in the dropdown list. It will produce a big wav file, now before we put this badboy back into the video we have to convert it to mp3, I use CDex (opensource software) you can use whatever you're used to using. Then after we accomplish all of these great feats we need to use virtualdubmod to insert this audio stream into the video file. Just remember to disable the original audio track before saving the avi.
This next fix applies to oggmedia only (as of now) if you experience null sound (meaning no soud output for the media file) when converting an ogm file to avi then here's what you have to do, first check your streams, then select the one that you want to include in the final media file and press the save wav button, then after selecting the directory and the filename for the files press the add button and select the file you just finished converting, then disable the original stream so you only leave the stream which you just added... this has to be the stupidest fix I've ever seen but, that is the only way that I've that works (I didn't try the winamp fix above cause it takes too long). Oh and don't try this fix with the problem above cause it won't work.
If you have any suggestions or results please post them here...
P.S.
I can´t seem to get ffdshow working correctly in virtualdub can anyone help me out with this minor problem...
