I upgraded to v. 2.0539.1.2 (19-10-05) and all of a sudden ... PATHWAY TO GLORY I and II and ELDER SCROLLS do not work (even with BT on) :( :(

i removed the batteries and the MMC and rebooted again - and it was ok...

Sims Busting Out FINALLY works like a charm on N70 :D

There is a trick (a little procedure to follow) though...

1. Just take out and re-enter the MMC card into the memory slot.

2. Then RUN THE GAME (dont run any application or change theme etc. - just run them game)

You should hear sound but no picture.

3. Press and hold the MENU button to enter into Task Manager

4. Switch to Phone then switch to THE SIMS game and....

YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FULL COLOUR AND SOUND :D :D :D

Delete game file's from your MMC(if you installed games in it) or format it. NOw your phone will work fine.

Α ΝΟΤΕ for everyone here who might have problems with his phone when installing NGAGE games....

The following N-Gage Libs have been found to be the cause of system instability on Series60 phones:


System/Libs:
* ECom.dll
* EComServer.exe
* Http.dll
* Httptcphnd.dll
* INetProtUtil.dll
* securesocket.dll
* SSL70.DLL
* ssladaptor.dll
* Stringpool.dll


Problems include:
* Problems recording video
* application crashes on exiting some games/apps (including non N-Gage games!)
* Random phone reboots in some games/apps (including non N-Gage games!)


Deleting these files from your System/Libs folder and then performing a reboot of your handset should improve system stability and still allow you to play N-Gage games. If an N-Gage game requires one or more of these files simply copy the required file(s) to the GAMES own folder (not the Libs folder!).

ESPECIALLY for the ECom.dll file, please (even if you dont like following the above), DELETE IT from the libs folder. This one is the reason that N70 may stuck without turning on etc. THERE IS NO REASON FOR FORMAT just delete this file (if not all the above) from the system\libs folder.....

The way of installation is usually:

1. Unrar/unzip the files to a folder untill you find a SYSTEM folder (inside contains several folders such as Apps, libs, SharedData, Programs etc.)

2. Copy (drag n' drop) all the above folders to the SYSTEM folder of your memory car (with the use of a USB card reader connected to your PC) and overwrite whenever asked.

3. You're done... :)

ADVICE: Do not install BINPDA versions since they are considered as working ONLY in ngage/QD devices and not in smartphones.

I discovered which libs files (only two) are needed (Tomb will works on N6600 with others files in libs,data,programs folders etc but not needed) to run Tomb on N6600_I hope so You know that Tombs work's perfect on N6600.Try it on N70 (or any other s60 phone).Just copy tomb folder to E:/System/Apps and Folder Libs to E:/System.I don't have chance to test this on others phone but would be very nice that Tomb works on other phones beside N6600 (maybe still best NGage game ever)

Note:Erase all files (for playing other NGage games) in folders libs (Gameutils,gamescom etc and all other becouse they are not needed to run Tomb and maybe those files are the problem for running Tomb on N7610,N6630,N6680,N70 etc),data/plugins and programs (AIRPLAYSERVER.EXE) folder

are u sure Lara Croft works with THESE libs on N70? WHICHSERVICE.DLL requires two others libs, Bigint.dll and Cryptalg.dll, which are absent in symbian 8 and later.
i mean, if tomb rider works with this libs, tonyhawk should works too.

Yes m8 it works on N6600 with only these two libs files.Don't know does it works (with only these two libs files) on N70 (or any other s60 phone besides N6600).I uploaded it to test it m8.On N6600 works Tomb with only these two libs.I tested it :).

are u sure Lara Croft works with THESE libs on N70? WHICHSERVICE.DLL requires two others libs, Bigint.dll and Cryptalg.dll, which are absent in symbian 8 and later.
i mean, if tomb rider works with this libs, tonyhawk should works too.

I have N6600 (Symbian 7) and I don't have bigint.dll and cryptald.dll in libs folder.But I must have whichservice.dll in libs for Tomb to work on N6600.And it works only with these two libs files :).

Didn't heard/find it.I repacked these apps/libs (uploaded here few post earlyer) from .blz format of Tomb Reider.And by the way did You test Tomb on N70 with only these apps and two libs I uploaded.

i tested the tomb on n70 with the way that you say but still nothing.it doesnt even start.too bad think of another way.if there is one.

well guys of n70 users i have good and bad news.the good news is that tomb raider with a patch i used it can play know on n70(bt on+english language on phone+patch+no blz version of tomb).the bad news is that the game load normally and when its going to play it stuck the previews picture of loading but if you push the game play bottons you can hear that the game play normally.what is wrong with the picture of that game?the same problem with the pandemonium(same as above exept the version blz)?do someone know how to fix that problem know on those games?

Puzzle Bobble VS nidn't any of this libs files but Worms need all that libs files

worms world party needs all that files except ecom.dll and the ecomserver.exe. Ive tested all the other files and http.dll seem to screw up my 3G surfing. Just put your lib files in ur MMC and remove it if u need to use 3G. My image editor does not seem to work as well but it think thats another problem. Now if only some 1 can make a colour fix for wwp for n70s.

This is the ONLY libs (others libs cause instability for the phone) for the game:
e:\system\libs :
gamecomms.dll, gameutils.dll, httpdllrequest.dll, nokiafc.dll, stringpool.dll.

Copy Others libs (ecom.dll,ecomserver etc ) in game folder e:\system\apps\6r73
Launch the game. Push soon menu button, start colorfix, push menu button e restart splinter cell from menu.

I sincerely doubt that Chaos Theory and Worms can work on the N70 with the sobol color fix....

SYSTEM RUSH and FIFA 2005 work 100% with the new Fifa 2005 patch from Wl (there're 2 dll files for the LIBS folder).

Plz note that u have to have BT on and especially for SYSTEM RUSH you have to run first the color fix from Sobol (I believe this is the FIRST time that this fix can actually work for the N70 :D ).

Unfortunately, the above patch cannot help at all Splinter Cell CT and Colin Rally... But we can wait for an eventual solution !!! :)

Splinter Cell, chaos theory and worms work for me on n70. i have already explaned the method for worms and splinter cell.

For colin mcraee: launch game, push soon menu button, start fexplorer, start color fix, restart fexplorer and restart game maintaining pressed the menu button.

guys for those of you having trouble getting the colour fix to work on n70, you have to use it instantly after launching the game. if you wait at all it wont work.

So let me get this straight:
1) open wwp from fexplorer
2)hit them menu key before the ngage screen loads
3)run color fix "ON"
4)hold down menu key to switch back to wwp and pray really hard that it starts

If thats the case then it might just take half an hour to start the game :(

Crash Nitro Cart, Splintecell 3D,Colin Mc Rea,and the best SSX runs fine with all this tricks,patches a.s.o.. Only thing now is System Rush-When I open it that way the colorpatch closes and the color is wrong. Only if I make that stupid freecal nonsens trick it works nice.
What am I doin´wrong?

I've managed to make Roots (PWNPDA version, dunno where to find BinPDA version!) worked on my 6681. Just follow the steps:
Download wl's patch here:

3. Press back 3 times (now you're on the character select screen)

The following N-Gage Libs have been found to be the cause of system instability on Series60 phones:

Problems include:
* Problems recording video

Deleting these files from your System/Libs folder and then performing a reboot of your handset should improve system stability and still allow you to play N-Gage games. If an N-Gage game requires one or more of these files simply copy the required file(s) to the GAMES own folder (not the Libs folder!).

Tony Hawks workd perfect on the nokia n70 when it trys to load up and all you see is the icon just click the red button on your phone which is the hangup button. it will go to beginning of phone hold menu button down and select the game which should be still running in the background!

Works color for marcel desailly for me. Launch game, push very soon menu button, then launch colour fix and reselect game maintaining pressed menu.
This is my method for worms with works colors: launch game more times and press very soon main menu,in the case two black sidebands remain fixed on the main screen launch colour fix and reselect game maintaining pressed menu. sorry for my english, this method is work for my n70.

I have discovered partially fix for pandemonium only. Launch game, select new game then press button 1 (the boot is visible on the screen) then push red button of phone and reselect game maintaining pressed menu button. This method is work for 1 level only (the game is closed after 1 level). gbsapp.app (i suppose) cause instability. For the moment i not have solution for this problem.
This method is not work for tomb raider. Is work partially for pandemonium only. Regards.

Anyone having a problem with rifts on the n70? Twice i've got to a part fairly early on in the game, where i have to clear the village of civillians while avoiding troops. And twice even after a system format(*#7370) on getting to the exact same place (theres a sniper on the roof!) my phone exits the game to "my own" menu, with the colour fix still on, no matter how many times I try. Anyone else experiencing this? I picked different characters each time. I thank you.

by the way i replaced all audio files (wav ogg etc) of this version with the limited edition one that is supposed to have better music and sound and game still works.i didnt replace app and other files because whole limited edition didnt work with this trick.if u want try it.and here my latest list

annihilator transfer ashen_arena_enabled_ngage-psygage to mmc and then replace with all files in fix (not only system folder but also the others that are out of system folder id files etc..turn on bt if needed.that worked on mine!

I've managed to get Fifa 2005, Pathway to Glory and Asphalt urban GT to work on my new N70 (just got it yesterday =p) . I also tried worms world party but it just enters the ngage screen and returns to the menu.
To those who successfully installed worms world party on their N70's please be kind enough to repost the steps . Please.......

I use the one released by ENGAGE (dated 19/11/2004). Copy '6R48' to Apps and if you haven't done

so, add 'ArenaFoundation.dll'(can be found in Ashen and OpsShadow) to E:\System\Libs (together with

GameComms, sc_Libs, scXMLparser, SnapComm and suStandard).


SC-CT on N70 (BT On) TESTED and WORKING
I use the HeXPDA release. Just copy ONLY '6r73' to Apps and use the libs mentioned by Annihilator

together with 'ColorFix by bayXSonic'. Note: it requires 'Fast Finger Moves and Multiple Tries' to

get good colors.


Ghost Recon on N70 (BT On) TESTED and WORKING
I think it needs only 'GameComms.dll' to run. Put this lib in '6RAT' folder (or skip it if it's

already in E:\System\Libs) and use 'ColorFix by bayXSonic'. Once again it requires 'Fast Finger

Moves and Multiple Tries' to get good colors!.

NOTE: when i had only Ghost Recon, i couldn't get good colors no matter how many times i tried, but after i installed and managed to run SC-CT with good colors, Ghost Recon started to follow suit....
