View Full Version : Learn to Split Big Files using Winrar ... ashpreet_htbk 12th November 2005, 12:59 Many members have asked me how to cut big files using WinRAR... even i had asked once... So i thought i make a tutorial teaching how to split the files ... ashpreet_htbk 12th November 2005, 13:12 First right click on the file u wanna select and select Add to Archive then a window will open from Rar ..... At the bottown there is a Tab sayin "Spilt to Volume,Bytes" In the box enter a figure.. remember bytes ... For eg if u enter 10000000 tht will be equal to 9.53 mb ... Remember u have to enter the value in bytes.. So enter a big value.. And thts it ur File will be split into ur requirest no of file... I m uploadin some screenshots 4 ur help.. So 1024 bytes = 1 k.b 1024 K.bytes = 1mb.. So enter value acc to wht u wont..!! You can also input value other than byte by adding a letter after the value: k = 1024 bytes = 1 KB K = 1000 bytes m = 1 MB M = 1000 KB g = 1 GB G = 1000 MB so if you want to make each file 12 MB, for example, jus input 12m...
