SC Firmware Update 2.18, SmartMoto 1.08

Dear Users,


We are pleased to announce a release of Smart-Clip Firmware 2.18 and SmartMoto 1.08.


SmartMoto improvements:



"Repair PDS" function now supports Motorola C390 and C650 (improved operation)
"Write IMEI" function added
First on the market! Added "Remove RSA" feature for Motorola V3 with boot ver.8.26, without disassembling the handset.
"Unlock via Testpoint" function added.
Added unlock support for Motorola V360 (beta test) through new function in SmartMoto: "Unlock via Testpoint".
Added support of boot-mode "S Blank Neptune LTE2" for model V360 (beta-test)

Write IMEI function
You can find Write IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) function under Service tab of SmartMoto. Up to date list of models directly supported by this feature includes Motorola V60, V66, T280 and V70. To write IMEI into other models you have to replace FLASH chip with new one having blank OTP zone.

Connect your phone to PC via Smart-Clip.
Launch SmartMoto.
Program should detect the handset.
Open “Service” tab.
Enter any 14 digits into “Phone IMEI” field and press “Write”.
Close SmartMoto.
Disconnect handset.
Restart the phone.
Handset with new IMEI is ready to use.




Unlock procedure for Motorola V3 boot version 8.2.6 via Remove RSA option in SmartMoto.

1. Power on the phone.
2. Connect it to PC via Smart-Clip, detect your phone in SmartMoto.
3. Go to Unlock bookmark, pick your model, press "Remove RSA" button.
4. Phone goes into boot mode.
5. Part of phone firmware is reflashed.
6. The phone powers on and is ready to be unlocked by Smart-Clip using simple "press one button" method (press Unlock button on Smart-Clip).



Unlock procedure for V360 (beta test) Motorola phone with testpoint (boot versions starting from 8.A0)
Using "Unlock via Testpoint" function of SmartMoto method

1. Perform V360 testpoint procedure
2. Use "Unlock via Testpoint" function of SmartMoto from Service tab


Please note:

We strictly recommend to make a backup of flash from any V360 handset before performing any procedure. If the process fails to complete you will be able to restore your handset to its original state.
