evlspcmk, i got it installed on my n9500 looking good and nice but it always prompt for no voice nor map selected. i did tried installing the map (I installed actually whole tomtom onto my C drive). can you help me... thanks..

just download the tomtom voice packs i posted on page 2 of this topic, when the folder is created in your mmc just coppy the contents of that folder and put it in the folder with the map and select the voice and its all good, i have tested all the voices i posted with the 9500 and they all work fine but i know there is a problem with S60 phones that the only one i got working properly was the stephen hawking one so since you have a 9500 your all good

When i install map of eastern europe and reboot then go to tt it says no map install.Before that i had map of Guam and everything works perfect voices and map.
What to do ?
Is the map wrong, false with some errors ???

In this case anytime there's a double folder of map or better:
you have EE-Map and inside a new folder EE-Map
this is incompatible for the program because it can open only a folder
and not a double folder Map.

Use search button for TOM TOM MOBILE, last version is v5.2 then you have to search the Country map you need.

But before to all go to www.tomtom.com and verify if N80 is compatible with the program.

You have to install voices into a folder called VOICES in the root of your MMC and also the folder of your country map put it in the root of MMC.

TomTom do not sell Malaysia and Indonesia maps...... So, for malysian and indonesian, really can say sad to us about this. For Asia, you only can find Hongkong and Singapore maps only. If u travel to others country then it is helpful otherwise it's useless for us.
Correct me if I wrong..

remember that to compose a voice you need two files
dataxx.chk and dataxx.vif

If you are using map v5.67 you need TT v5.2 ;try with CA v5.66

be quite people are not to your service, try first to read into the threads for istruction and then ask for help.
Now, unzip the map you want and put the folder map to the root of memory card with other folder of Tom Tom application.
When you start TT point you on the map (clearly you need a GPS receiver).

Let me guess what do you intend to do. You want to copy map into your memory card. If it is true, doesn't matter if you use cable, bluetooth or reader. Just copy folder with the map files to the root directory of your memory card fi. E:\ (E:\name_of_the_Italy_map

The fastest method is to use a card reader plugged to your PC by USB but you can use PC Sync and bluetooth dongle as well.

hi, I am using an N80 and have downloaded the tomtom app 6.010. I am looking for maps of Hong Kong and Japan - if any one could private message me with a link that would be awesome.

Another question, I heard that the gps recievers on ebay may be only accurate to 10-15 meters - is that right? Seems it would be useless when driving in the city if so. Thanks!

Its work perfectly with my 7610 and GPS receiver that I purchase from Ebay.

I'm guessing it's pointless in touching Tomtom until a internal gps version comes out? I haven't touch tomtom for a few months now.

Tomtom works perfectly well mate (even better) using a $100 bluetooth GPS...mate :-)

I've run 6260 and N80 with Qstarz 818 or 1000 (MTK chipset...several brands eg iBlue 737).

Using an internal GPS on a phone drains battery, restricts signal reception and reduces flexibility where to place the gps receiver unit.

Technically. the bluetooth GPS receivers (and Ive used Holux, the MTK's and a few other brands) work pretty much flawlessly once paired. The MTK chipset ones dont even need to be switched off (go to sleep and wake up when called into action by tomtom etc).

And has experienced so far, GPS-enabled software is slow to support internal GPS but all happy with external bluetooth.

Graphically, Nokia Maps is probably a better looking map. Functionally, Tomtom is probably a better navigation program.

However, if you're browsing maps only (not navigating) and you're happy with the Nokia Maps controls then it is probably okay for that purpose.

Don't know about quality of map data between the two or how comprehensive they are for Romania...I suspect maps compatible with Tomtom 5 may only be 'major roads' and not full street level, but I cannot confirm this.

Hoi, new here,
I've downloaded the program and send the sis file to my phone . There it installed it.(its on a nokia 6600). When tomtom starts up, it finds no maps. I've tried everything, put the map in the tomtom map, in its own map,etc....
Can anyone give a solution for this
Are you using a map version compatible with the Tomtom version?

Tomtom 6 maps do not generally work with Tomtom 5. What is your map version number (open the .pna file with a text viewer and it will tell you), and which software version are you running (TT5 I assume?).

Now i've put in a map with version v566 and it worked with the tt of this thread

I think TT6 only works on Symbian 3rd edition devices, so probably not on the 6600.

The easiest way to find maps is using torrents.
Rapidshare and other similar sites have too many restrictions.

I have most of the European Maps, also USA maps.
If somebody would provide me with an FTP server, I can upload those somewhere. They're not small, so I would need at least 1.6 GB of space.
Or just search in torrent sites and you'll find most of them.

It's for 5.20 version of TomTom.
Bucharest is with every detail, but the rest of the cities and country have only major roads, not every small road in the city.

i've downloaded and tried tomtom.navigator.v5.20.s60.symbianos.cracked-pwnpda_242.zip. as far as i know, N5700 use S60 v9.2. CMIIW.
but it said, "the installation of tomtom.navigator.v5.20.s60.... is not supported".
