Hope this crack works. IMO, route66 is a very nice alternative to TomTom. IMO, TomTom is more for people who get lost just by switching on their cellphone: Route66 has a cleaner interface.

Just to prevent other people from making the same mistake I made :wink: , there's a link floating around for the new italian map for Route66 Mobile 2006 (200something Mb in all): don't bother to download it - it's for UIQ and the map doesn't even show up on the S60.

i had the same error, I'm just in the process of copying the Route 66 folder to the phone to see if that helps. I'll let you know how I get on.

It's very simple to download on Rapidshare:
1. Click on a link above
2. Scroll down and click on the button "Free"
3. On the next site you got a dowloadticket with a countdown
4. When countdown endet, you simple type in the code now showing
5. Click on Download button and the download will proceed
(javascript and cookies must be allowed)


Installing the app is very simple, too, because it's no installation needed. There are two ways:
First way:
1. Take the card out of your phone and put it in into a cardreader.
2. Copy the ROUTE66-folder into e:\system\apps (e: is on the most phones the card)

Second way:
1. Copy with Nokia PC Suite the ROUTE66-folder into e:\system\others
2. Cut the copied folder with FExplorer ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) (free app) und paste in in e:\system\apps

Now only copy one or more maps (*.prm file) in e:\system\apps\route66\maps (like first or second way I described above). R66 will detect any map in this folder. In the app you can choose which you want to use.

That's all. Now you got the Route 66 icon in Menu>Personal (in first way simple insert the card in your phone, on second way it can be usefull to restart your phone).

Can you tell what about GPS?
For GPS-functionality you need a Bluetooth-GPS-mouse like this one ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). You can plan a new route without gps and let you show how long, how far away and so on. In R66 is no limitation to the original gps-mouse shipped by the original software (like tomtom). The app should work with any modern gps-mouse.

Has anyone got a cracked version of Route 66 that will work on a N80 ? I could do with a copy for a mate that wants navigation software for his N80.

As a stated on another similar question finding a working ROUTE66 for Symbian 9.1 will take quite of time I guess. You see SYMBIAN 9.1 uses .EXE extension files located under sys/bin and not the usual .app files located under system/apps seen on previous versions of Symbian OS and it will be very difficult to have it bypassed at least for the time being (completely different format and also uses DEFLATE algorithm). As a matter of fact there is NO single symbian 9.1 application posted as cracked for N80 but only applications making use of keygens. All others appearing as cracks are just java based and not signed sisx. (even unsisx is not available at the mo.)

Bypassing previous versions of route66 apps was a matter of 20 seconds. Only one single byte did the trick to bypass authorization and was very very easy. This does not apply to .exe route66 for symbian 9.1

Therefore you dont need any system/apps/route66.app crack for your Symbian 9.1 series phone as E61 or N80 as the real file that need to be modified is sys/bin/route66.exe

Maybe old news now but I havent seen any official reply from Route66 about the N80 support. This is the reply I got from them

The N80 has problems with buetooth and memory due to the firmware of the phone. Nokia is working on a fix that will be published shortly.

The /system/ folder doesn't show up when you use Nokia PC Suite or similar.....

If you have an external MMC card reader use that to transfer the files to the /system/ folder, if not you can simply use PC Suite to transfer the files / folders to the root directory of your MMC and then use the free FExplorer program on your N70 to cut / paste the files to the /system/ folder.

I've seen this posted before (and indeed this is how I have my computer set up) but even so, using Nokia PC Suite (V6.70.22) the hidden files still don't show up.......

Using Windows XP / MCE 2002 / SP2 / Bluetooth.

As usual, there are many versions of this program around. Post #45 in this thread (which I referenced 6 posts above this one) does work on my N70.

There is more than just one .SIS file. The above post did work for me.

Of course, you'll also need to find the maps for your country.

Was this the first time you tried installing Route 66 ?

I'm thinking that maybe a previous (not working) install may of left a "not-registered" file somewhere on your 'phone and the new now-working installation thinks it isn't registered.

Maybe you could try formatting the 'phone and trying again.

This version worked fine for me..........

Yes you need a bluetooth gps receiver if you want to use it for navigation.

Much harder to c..k because of the security measure implemented in OS 9.1

At the moment exists the 2nd edition Route 66 on the net, but the compatibility list for 3rd edition is still low.
There is no cracked version for example for NOKIA E61

BTW I did the same for my N80 but following a slightly different route: bought the old version (mobile 2005, not compatible with v3) at sale price (€19 :):):)), then installed Mobile 7 program and map I found on the net.

I do agree and this is valid in general. Nothing to do with TomTom or Route66 programs but to the sources they use for the maps.
For Europe and USA Navteq (used by R66) is still superior to Teleatlas (used by TT).
They are the major suppliers of maps and (nearly) all navigation system uses one of them.
Recently Teleatlas improved a lot their mapping so hopefully with the new versions they will match Navteq.

If someone is interested, you can easily compare Navteq and Telatlas coverage (especially in your area) using the following popular online services:

The rar-file i found gives me no error. It only asks for the activation. Which rar-file did you mean ??

sorry, but i dont know exactly where i found it but it must have 11,3 MB!
The file contain only subfolders; i tried to copy them into MMC root but when i start the application it said: ERROR files are missing....please reinstall the application!!!

I've got Route 66 Mobile 7 S60 v3 with the Benelux map. When I try to use the France map i got the activation screen. When I enter my activation code from the benelux map, i got the notice that the activation is wrong. How can i activation other maps than the benelux ??

I know that the S60v 3 is not cracked, but i bought Route 66 S60V3 for the Benelux. Is it then possibel to use other maps ?? Or do i still have to wait until the S60v3 is cracked.

many people use a version cracked so I think, if you have an activation code for your Benelux map, is simply to believe that a new map request a new code, so just try or wait for a solution.

Not cracked means you need to buy a registration code for each new map you want to use.

to bad... I hoped that the activation code is for the application and not for the maps. Why is it than not possible to crack the map instead of the application? In the thread only says that the .exe file is hard to crack but there is no one who said about the map. For example the TomTom Navigator 6 S60v3.

i have just received my N93. I found this Forum and i must say i was very helpful so far. Now my question. I want to install the Route 66, but i cant see or create the folder system on my card. Can anybody help? I have installed the prog. via Nokia PC suite. I can start the prog on my phone, but then i got the message Resource error.

in pc suite mode u will need to copy/cut/paste using phone sys explorer to access e/system/apps/r66-file transfer is slow as well-which ever way u do it u need to create map folder within and then add athens prm file within-this should remove the resource error message

if u are using iexplorer(use firefox) u may have to use system restore to a date/time before u got 403 errors?

unpack dazza rar/use password lower case-open put on first mmc folder-connect phone in data transfer mode/open my computer on pc expand n80 drive e/expand private folder/copy contents of 100--102--into same folders on phone-repeat resource/apps/help-repeat sys/bin-repeat system/apps copy route66 entire folder into it-copy gb map pna into new map folder-come out of data transfer into pc suite-open dazza install this click on sis file
my own/route66/activate via internet/tap in any 16 alphanumerics-bingo
