what do you mean by track? tell the position of the person who owns the phone? like tracking a call? that can only be done by pc and only by authorised people.

this is possible! But this is NETWORK DEPENDENT!

Contact your network and ask for this feaTure!

Good luck! :)

yes you must ask your network provider and see if they can do it for you. they are the only ones who can do it because they have acess to all the phone calls and have satelite positions of all of them. it needs very powerfull computers to do this you canīdo it with a simple phone app.

You are wrong Mark 6600.

There is a function call "Positioning" that comes along with Nokia phones and this allows you to trace the person you want to know where he/she is but he/she can reject your request.

And Laud is right, this is network dependant...

Guys I try to give my opinion as a technician of a mobile telecomunication company:
The program is quite ambigous since the operation for "tracking" a phone could be made only from police (cause only police has the policies on the networks machines to make the rights commands to localize a mobile, the carrier's workers haven't this commands avaiable.. they're protected by password) and it is very easy to display results (not too much calculations) without request any to the phone.. since the networks itself knows well where are all the mobiles locked to it, expecially during a conversation (because it have to decide in every moment with which network ant (BTS) you've to lock to remain connected and don't lose the call).

So this soft must refer to another some forced "tries" the police operator cold make to you phone to localize you when for example you aren't speaking at phone in that moment and they like to localize you without making a new one.. a sort of "ping", but it's strange due to laws that forces the Nokia to mantains this commands always active and can't give you the opportunity to switch this feature off.
Or it could refer to some new third-party software that is used to localize someone (for example sendig through that all the reports of signals of the ants received to another host (the caller.. or via gprs?) over than the networks of course.
However I think it's useless

That is right, it comes already with the phone!!! .....

.... and in this case I don't think it is possible to copy this app from the phone to upload here.... can anyone do that??? ....

Do you have another application in the name of 'Bluetooth?' I just wanted to dto know what's the difference between that both.

Of course I have another icon called bluetooth. It is a different thing all together.

Bluetooth is a device for you to send, receive or connect your device wirelessly. Positioning is like what we are discussing now.

What Barabba said is true. However, I think this is a little different. In this application, the requester can only know your location if it is agreed by you... If you reject the request, then only the police can trace you...

It is always there even after remormatting so the file should be in drive Z but I'm yet to find it. I did a search using MobileSearch but of no avail.

I'll try to search for it manually...
