Forget finding players for louder music on your nokia 3230. Many if not all nokia 3230s have a VERY low ringtone on them. it doesnt matter if you change the tone, the volume, the settings, nothing helps. Basically the speaker cover cuts out the sound. so i returned home slightly annoyed to put it mildly, and seeing as the bloke had buggered up the catch a bit i decided to have a go myself. no doubt someone will tell me this was a bad thing to do but it has solved my problem totally and i now have loud ringtones.

1 on the back of the phone above the camera lens, you will need a thin sharp (but not brittle) instrument to lever the top part of the cover open. put implement in the gap just above the camera lens and lift up slighly, the catch will pop and you can pull the top cover off.

2 with tweezers remove the tiny mesh covering off the speaker, pop the plastic cover back on and problem solved.

obv i will be keeping the nokia in a skin case now as i dont want dust to get into the unprotected speaker.

Dont move the post as many people would look in this section for mp3 players etc.

hope this helps. Atleast you can now solve half of your sound problem.

Come on man be serious. Not all people are as tallented as u and will screw their phone. My advice is if u want to hear louder get a boom box and not ur phone.

this is good for ringtones as they are not as loud as they should be.

Probably there is a reason why they aren't so loud. Have u thought about that?? The only nokia that shouts... don't plays songs it shouts them is the 6230 wich is extremely loud for a phone.
