Yes people on the old firmware (v3.42.1) can actually play mp3 files that is converted to/with Ogg codec on your phone as ringtones the way you would do for midi or wav files! All you have to do is find an mp3 song and convert it to/with
Ogg format/codec. The mp3 would then have an .ogg extension. The best FREE mp3 converter is the dBpowerAMP, its a must have if you havent got it yet.
Those on firmware v4.09.1 can now have Ogg files as the ringtones by downloading the Oggplay-S60-MMF-1.6.1.
Version v1.6.2 released! A much more stable version and now it allows those on frimware v5.27.0 can have ogg files as their ringtones too! Download the Oggplay-S60-MMF-1.6.2.
