Everything you need to manage your files on your phone or FTP server
MobyExplorer is a powerful File Manager and FTP Client for Java J2ME enabled mobile phones. It is the complete tool for managing your files on your phone or FTP server in any way.

It has support for military strength file encryption, a built in text editor which is also integrated with the encryption engine so you can write completely secure notes, and support for file compression using the GZip protocol. The Text Editor can also be used to edit files or web pages remotely on a FTP server.

Any combination of local and remote file systems can be used. Local-Local, Local-Remote or even Remote-Remote. Files can be seamlessly transferred between the file systems in any direction.
MobyExplorer is signed using a Thawte certificate which means no more annoying security prompts when accessing the local file system.
Installation
Important!!
Please note that you must install MobyExplorer using the MobyExplorer.jad file (preferrably using WAP) if you want to be able to access the file system in an unrestricted way. You can install the jar file directly but then you will get prompted to allow access to the file system, every time you do this.

Please also note that you need to enable file read and write access permissions for MobyFtp after you have installed it, to avoid the constant file access prompts. Please see our web site for instructions how to do this.

If you have installation problems it is probably due to a missing Thawte root certificate on your phone. Please see our web site for instructions how to check if you have a Thawte root certificate. If you don`t you can still install and use MobyExplorer as an unsigned Midlet by installing the MobyExplorer.jar file directly.

unlike Nokia phones, the SE phone can only store the birthday via phonebook, which u have to add u'r friend as the new contact, then select to fill his/her birthday...

this sometimes can be very annoying though..... especially when u want to add an annual task/appointment.... :partyman:

DVD player??!? What would u use that for?! The k750 supports MPEG4 format and that's the same codec as DVD-movies use... MP3 player?? The k750 has one! daaah! And there is no other mp3 player that works on sony ericssons... not yet...

saw a thread here fo4 s40 that includes a java app that can send "pre-timed sms". an application where you can schedule an sms to anyone you want at the time you want. a really useful app for memory loss chaps like me. anyone here tried one? for sony ericssons at least..my phone's a SE w550i.

You will find a jad & jar file you must install from the jad file.
That's the way to install this so it won't keep annoying you about allowing appliction to user data. How to do this is place both files in the other folder on your phone, then just go to your file manager & click install from the jad file & thats it

Hi everybody, n youre a great poster the coolsha , well dude onething i tried was when u posted the correct video format which we could convert, i have se w700i, i did that video quality was good when i converted to 176*144 but in horizontal full screen mode the quality deteriorated a lot, any solutions for this?....also let me know if there is any facility for a sms lock or i can do it from my security settings, i would be highly oblliged if u reply n give me the suitable solutions for playin n convertin videos. Thanx ...

U can use a converter called Xilisoft Video Converter... I promise i'll post it later with serial and perfect settings... The thing about fullscreen mode is that the phone cannot play files bigger than 176x144 pixel, so when it gets fullscreen, the phone just makes the picture bigger. That's why the quality ain't that good... No sms lock... or.. what do u mean about that??

XCalc!!!

I have written this calculator with 2d and 3d plot function as student project. Feedback with comments is welcome.

To input numbers use the numbers on your telephone, "#" inputs a point. To input operators or functions press "*". The position of the functions on the screen maps to the position on your mobile phone keyboard.

To draw a graph simply press "*" three times, or as the formula contains an "x" or "y" press Calc.

To navigate in the graph press "2" and "8" for up and down and press "4" and "6" for left and right.

To scale the graph on the y-axis press "3" for zoom out and "9" for zoom in. For zooming on the x-axis press "1" and "7".

To leave the graph window press "*" again.

The functions sin, cos, tan, ... uses radians as input values.

SiMoney is a personal account manager able to work with accounts, each account has its own currency. For every account SiMoney stores transactions with date, amount, category and payee. The transaction can be beteween accounts , with splitted categories, or standard. Eventually the transactions can be alarmed or recurrent. SiMoney is able to show graphic and textual report for every data. SiMoney has an internal calculator so it is possible to insert amount like 10.20, 12.3*(5.10+2.20), or 3€+7£. At first execution SiMoney creates some basic standard list: main categories, categories, payees, currencies and empty accounts. Modify/add/delete your accounts and link them to their currencies. Modify/add/delete your currencies to fit your accounts, it is required to set the default currency that will be used for every conversion/output with the exception of accounts with different currency. Transaction can be reconciled, void, alarmed, and recurrent. A void, alarmed or recurrent transaction behaves as actual amount 0 regardless of its amount. Expired Alarmed and Recurrent transaction are automatically showed in the expiring screen every time SiMoney exits from a pause or is started. For each account it is possible to add three kinds of transaction; transaction amount is charged on its account. Standard transaction is linked/charged on a category and a payee. Split transaction is linked/charged on a payee and on a set of categories. Transfer transaction makes two transactions between two accounts with equal and opposite amounts, they are linked/charged on a category. Changes to a transfer are automatically reflected on the other. Selecting a payee in an empty transaction will fill other fields as first transaction with same payee found. Modify/add/delete your categories to fit your transaction. Every category has a previewed amount used for reports. It is possible to define a (preferably small to get simpler report) set of main categories. Every category can be linked to its main category. Modify/add/delete your payees to fit your transaction. Other features are: synchronise function is provided to backup/restore/manage SiMoney lists in Unicode format (readable with a spreadsheet) using a serial cable and a terminal program; clear function is provided to delete transactions older than a given date to keep account lists small; calculator is provided to evaluate expressions; it is possible to pause SiMoney without data lost to short SiMoney begin and end time. It is possible to set an optional password, it will be asked at startup and returning from a pause. There is an alarm screen which automatically shows all the expired transactions (if any).

Network signal detector for mobile phones.
Sounds an alert to let you know when the network becomes available without you needing to keep looking at the phone. Useful and safer while travelling in poor signal areas.

Can be used where the network signal is variable/patchy to provide an audio indication of current status without user needing to look at the phone or press any keys. An example of use is where there is a need to make an urgent call or send a text but a signal is not available. The user can walk/drive to a different location. The audio sound alerts the user who can then safely stop and use the phone at the next convenient and safe place.

Checks whether the phone data network is available and sounds an alert when network signal first detected. Can also be asked to continue checking periodically and to alert you when the signal is lost and regained. Has different alert sounds allowing you to know the current state without needing to look at the phone.

The Alert Mode can be set to your preferred mode, eg once only until network found, repeated checking for an up to date status, or only by command. Your chosen setting is saved and reused each the application is run. Whichever Alert Mode is chosen, commands are also available to immediately start or stop network detection.

Volume, alternative sounds, vibrate and flash are selected in the main setup menu.

WARNING. It is unsafe to use a mobile phone while driving. Please check the laws regarding use of mobile phones, hands-on or hands-free that apply in your country. If in doubt DO NOT USE MOBILE PHONE WHILE DRIVING or in any other situation where lack of concentration or control is dangerous.

MobiDict!!

MobiDict is a mobile dictionary to be run on mobile devices that support J2ME (MIDP/CLDC). Provides 10 000 words and simultaneous search for english and german words! Also online translation function available using Google Translate!

The translation is instant, just type a word or letter in the text field you see! A moment later you get the found words at the bottom.
If you want to use the online translation make sure your internet connection is properly configured. On some phones you may need an Internet GPRS connection configured instead of the standard WAP GPRS connection.
Note that some phones may have software bugs that can prevent MobiDict from using the online service!
If your phone cannot handle the application size try with the smaller one-way translation english-german and german-english

J2ME streaming!!!

J2ME Streaming is always a hot topic. How to implement streaming via HTTP protocal in GPRS?
Of course if the streaming media is not support partial data play (ex. midi sound), we can`t do anything about it, right?
But how about if the media can play partial data (ex. arm sound), can we do it?
Here comes a wonderful J2ME application. Remember that we are not talking about RTSP/MMS, we are dealing with [Only registered and activated users can see links]
The idea is very simple. We open two thread, one thread is for download the data, the other thread is play the data that already downloaded so far.
Once the first chunk of data is available, we play it. When finished play the first chunk of data, we play the second available chunk of data, and so on.
If your mobile phone phone support two players, the play will be more smooth. The data is dynamically fetched into the next player.
Well you may ask "If finished play the first part of data and there is no second part data available which can be likely happened via airtime GPRS, what to do?", just play the first part data again right!
Once the data is 100% downloaded, you can always replay again and again.
There is no need for special treatment of the host server that provide the media.
Yeah, you can play from any media server with this application.

Things to remember:
1) We assume that your mobile implemented the JSR 135 API getDuration and setMediaTime (tested on Motorola v188).
2) Download big size of streaming data may cost you a lot of money if it is not monthly service based on. It is you own responsibility for the cost, not my application.
3) The application provided a demo, therefore try the demo first and let me know which device can play and what problem you have.
4) You can find what media is available now in my server here.
5) You can view who is download the media also.

Locker!!
Ever want to lock some file in your mobile phone ? Now you can protect your private file with Locker. Locker is a file locking and unlock midlet. The midlet is protected by password. User can lock any file in their phone like image file, video file or audio file so that other will not be able to open the file. User can restore the file back using the unlock function. Midlet password is changeable.
Locker is for phone with File Connection API (JSR 75) where user can access phone`s gallery/memory. (Example: SE K750i and w800i). Try our trial version if you are not sure whether your phone support FileConnectionAPI. Please back up the file to your computer before locking it, we do not take any responsibility if you can`t unlock it back or file get corrupted. The locking mechanism is simple, so do not use it if you want to protect your file from a professional hacker. Locker is suitable to lock jpeg, gif, png, amr, wav, 3gp files but can not lock mp3, text and pdf file.

Sorry but you posted the demo version which lets you lock only one file at a time.
Here is the cracked version by xavi. Rename from zip to jar.

You need
- CID 36 W800i/K750i/d750i/w550i
- The SEFP (Read thecoolsha's great guide on how to use it if unsure)
- My modded mobyexplorer uncracked version
- The cracked version.

1. Delete any mobyexplorers you got on the phone.
2. Put the uncracked version (the jar AND jad) in the other folder in the memory stick (/MSSEMC/Media Files/Other)
3. Put the cracked version in the Far folder (or anywhere as long as you remember where it is)
3. Install the uncracked version of mobyexplorer using the jad file (its the 1st mobyexplorer in the list) (DO NOT MOVE TO THE MEMORY STICK)
4. Go to the folder where you installed it and set the permissions on it (never ask)
5. Switch off your phone and start the sefp. Connect your phone to the comp and choose FS and browse through /tpa/preset/system/ams
6. Delete only the MobyExplorer.jar in the ams folder and copy over the cracked jar from the far folder.
7. Go all the way to the root folder in the ams folder and when it asks you to shutdown the cfsfsloader; press yes and disconnect your phone and take out and reinsert the battery and enjoy.

ReadManiac (the best book reader) signed with the halmer certifcate (signed by yours truly).
You need to have the halmer's cert installed in your SE ( i have it installed because my k750 was converted to w800 and it was included in the complete.rar by LiveDevil. For the people who dont have it installed; I have created a customise_upgrade.xml which will flash the certs on to the phone. WARNING: THIS IS UNTESTED. Any problem's with the phone; I DONT CARE; I have looked at the file and all it does is flash the certs on.
To install; load up the sefp and copy the contents of the custom-halmer into the /tpa/preset/custom and reset the settings on the phone (Settings.master reset. reset settings)

Bluechat is a bluetooth messaging software. Bluechat allows you to see other Bluechat users around, ping anyone of them, and create either private chat sessions or public messaging rooms via Bluetooth.

Usage

* All peers that want to communicate should have Bluechat running.
* It is enough that one peer does the initial "Look for friends" operation.
* Everytime a new comer peer does its first "Look for friends" operation, the operation will reorganize all initial communication and profile sharing stuff.
* Every peer will have an updated list of profiles around automatically and the profile list will be displayed to warn everyone about the new comer.
* Be aware that if more than one peer do "Look for friends" simultaneously, they might not be able to see each other (because of Bluetooth running principles)
* Be aware that the set up of the profile list might take up to one minute. Therefore be patient.

Activate as many of your friends as you want once you activate yourself.

This has kind of been covered many times. You have to be able to see the extension of the file Locker.zip (the '.zip' portion) before you change the '.zip' portion to '.jar'.

P.S. To see the extensions, go to:
My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View (tab) > Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types > OK.

You should be able to see the '.zip' extension.
