antech 10th January 2006, 17:05 [TUTORIAL]How to see theme folders icons in 6600 gallery
You can see theme folders icons in 6600 gallery now, all you need is Fexplorer 1.15, or similar program that makes you able to edit files attributes.
Phone memory
-Create in C\nokia, three new folders "Photo", "Music", "Movie".
-Copy all folders included in "Images", "Sounds", "Video" in the respective new folders.
-Set "hidden" and "system" attributes of "Images", "Sounds", "Video" folders to "yes".
Card memory
-Create in E\nokia new folder "Music".
-Copy all folders included in "Sounds" in the new folder.
-Set "hidden" and "system" attributes of "Sounds" folder to "yes".
-Rename "Images" and "Videos" in "Photo", "Movie".
Enjoy your new icons set!
-Ringtones must be stay in \nokia\sounds\digital (C and E) folder, so don't delete this folder or you'll lost all your ringtones.
-If you have to see ringtones in the new gallery, you must have two folders, \nokia\sounds\digital (C and E) and new folders created by you.
-If you don't want to have ringtones in your gallery, don't create new folder and set attributes of default folder only.
-All attachments saved in gallery from messages are not in new gallery now, but you must to find them with Fexplorer in default folder.
-Gallery open a little slowly now, but it's much better!
I've done it on my 6600 v5.27 and run perfectly!
Enjoy!

I don't understand well your problem: you must copy original folders in new folders, then hide original folders..........
EvilAkuma 30th January 2006, 08:44 yea that is really nice this was abig problem 4 me now u solved it
noj 1st February 2006, 03:38 ok, will try it again. thanks man.
=> same thing happens.
what i mean is, when i browse to c:\nokia using fexplorer i can see the folders images, sounds and video. but when i copy these folders to photo, music, and movie respectively fexplorer shows a dialog box "copying" but after that it doesn't copy anything at all.
weird. question is, should i just ignore the folders contained in images, sounds and video and create the same folders in photo, music, and movie??
sorry, vague thoughts.
antech 1st February 2006, 11:45 ....... after that it doesn't copy anything at all.
Try to copy each folder one by one
.....should i just ignore the folders contained in images, sounds and video and create the same folders in photo, music, and movie??
Yes, but if you can't hide default folders you'll see them in gallery!
imperia 1st February 2006, 22:21 hello,
nice guide but,
now when i take new photo it goes to the (old) Images folder.
or when i take new video it goes to the (old) Videos folder.
i should always move new images/videos to their new folders or i can change this somewhere?
this is hardcoded in theme to show icons for Movie/Photo/Music or in system files?
noj 2nd February 2006, 06:29 got it now!!
but as imperia said "when i take new photo it goes to the (old) Images folder.
or when i take new video it goes to the (old) Videos folder."
oh well, that's probably aking too much. will just delete it every so often i take a pic or a video.
btw, is there any reason to make theme folders appear in messaging?? such as drafts, sent, etc..
shootertwist 6th February 2006, 06:46 thanks for the great guide! i'm just wondering whether the messaging folders could also be replaced...???
antech 15th February 2006, 11:03 got it now!!
but as imperia said "when i take new photo it goes to the (old) Images folder.
or when i take new video it goes to the (old) Videos folder."
No way, you must copy photos-videos to new folder everytime (after copy you can delete original file)
btw, is there any reason to make theme folders appear in messaging?? such as drafts, sent, etc..
It's not possible to manage messaging folders!

i see, so messaging folders look good only in theme studio but doesn't really show the proper icons in our phone?? i think the same thing can be said about icons in the settings menu such as phone, call, connection, date and time, security, call divert, among others.
but am hopin for a trick soon.
Petza 18th February 2006, 04:43 thanks works great in my 6260
