Today i had install on my phone need for speed ug 2 but it was a strong virus he has disable the alication main ........
that aplication allow you to enter the phone menu after i install that i had LUCK because i had install the file on MMC-card and i format the system folder on my mmc
The file name is :Need_For_Speed_Underground2_ By_V-Cast_Repacked_For_Nokia_Symbian(only 6630,6680,6600,n-gage,n-gageQD).sis

The files will have a different name from the one that is on the .sis (external file)

Anyways, use norton (s60, alrady posted in this forum) and you should be clean

I don't know about the pc version but what i said was download from this forum and install symantec mobile (s60 version) on your phone.

Is the best antivirus for s60 and it can be updated unlike the other av's.

I don't think the norton antivirus for PC will scan a sys file enyway it can be possible because the sis file dosent run only on symbyan the sis file's are in the PC programs too and i think the norton antivirus will scan that file but the virus will not fiind because the norton antivirus for PC dosen't include the Phone virus definitions ....i think..;)

I think norton works only on s60 v7.0 phones QD is 6.1...
From PC antiviruses i think ZoneAlarm can detect s60 viruses... try searching at Antivirus producers websites.

I use ZoneAlarm Antivirus and firewall..Its not free,unless you know where to look ofcourse..

Also,when I used to run Norton,it detected the Trojan in Mosquitos game. (Cracked by Soddom bin loader version)..and also virus in GloBanner.

Give me a direct link to the post/file.I will see if ZoneAlarm detects anything.

THis virus crash the aplication "Telephone" and you will never be able to acces your phone menu only if you go at a Gsm-service to flash your phone with a new softer because other way dosen't exist .....he close the phone menu .....keep press the menu key and you fiind the "Telephone" aplication that aplication close this virus

NO problema;) i will test other aplication before to post here because i had a broken softwre on a phone but i make a back-up before the virus
THE better sollution is to make a back-up but ..... i need to know more because i have my new nokia 6600 1 week ago :D before i had a siemens M65 but the symbian make the difference ;):D

most pc anti virus will find symbian virus mcafee does on my pc . I am removing virus file as not allowed on site and suggest you scan files before install to avoid problems . This topic as much pc related as is game related as is app related so not clear of correct section. Originally virus in game file but diversified since. Topic moved to symbian game where the virus file would in theory be posted. Moved from symbian apps.

my norton 2006 detects and updates symbian viruses as part of its programing...it has never let me down so far but they is more of a risk from bluetooth received files i think...hence the need for a very good antivirus on your phone...if you get ba virus on your phone it will be your own fault...as they are amny who have said this...listen or dont....it is up to you

McAfee virusScan can detect symbian viruses as in my case and as mentioned by Dmoe. Better scan any files that you want to install in your fone, or be sorry.

u don't have to bother any viruses if u have fexplorer on ur phone because u can easily destroy the file by deleting it. antivirus programs tend to slow down the action of the phone.

I hope , it would give as a warning to all cell phone user's

:axe: I downloaded this game recently but luckily to my mmc card soon as i rebooted the phone would boot up then restart straight away soon as i removed mmc card booted up fine,tried reading card in card reader but no joy then found this program called mmc medic which rectified the problem luckily for me,but the funny thing is that all my programs etc is still on the card except my contacts which i saved on it,serves me right not for backing up..so guys beware what you download and where you download it from :finga:

all if not most pc antiviruses can detect s60 viruses...norton trend micro etc...the trick is to have most recent virus definitions...

norton can find some symbain virus's as norton has came up with a few but they do not allocate symbian virus updates normaly as they support the mobile version....posted in this forum...so to be safe have antivirus installed and make sure it is updated as some folks are simply not nice..
