is there such program that will allow me to customize the applications (eg. games, non-nokia apps) on the right or left selection keys when on the idle screen?

Then it's a no no for me.

try to up grade ur phone in other version. coz i had done with N7610. all scrolbar have different sortcut key. but please take to the expert if u wanna damage up phone

Go to Settings, Phone, Stanby Mode and choose the application you want to set short cut...

whats ur phone?? not all phone can do that.. my 6630 can do that, so the selection key can be anything.. or you can edit it by yourself, like my left selection key is DRuM, and my right sel. key is FReaK. u can make that by make a new mailbox and give the mailbox a name.. whatever u want but not too long.
Make 2 different mailbox
after that, go to settings, phone, standby mode, and change the left and right selection key to ur mailbox name. just find it..

I don't know what phone can or can't do that but on my 6670 & 6680, I can do it, even for 3rd party application...

i know that 7610 and newer phones have that option but it doesn't exist it 6600. tried applauncher and it sucks big time. sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.=p

well it may not be a full solution, but try SmartSettings. it's also quite good app. but spend a lil time to settings. u'll be satisfied.

no point discussing now on old problems..easy one..locked now
