Normally, when you want your phone in silent mode e.g. during a meeting, school, office, whatever...as with all nokia phones, you press the power button briefly until the profiles come up and select 'silent' from the menu.
But there's an even easier and much quicker way that lets you toggle between silent and general profiles (as these are the most common profiles used).
Pressing the # key for a bit on the handset will automatically switch the profile from whatever to silent. Pressing it again will switch it back from silent to general.
P.S. This tip will only work for newer handsets i.e. S60 2nd Ed, Feature Pack 2 =D
