hey i just found this applet and it really works there is a HUGE difference in sound quality from the headphones..i dont know whether this has been uploaded earlier.works well with my imate jam..
lemme know whether u like it or not !!

btw this is the cab version
extract, send 2 ur ppc and run from there there'll be a shortcut on Program-Tools-Bass&Treble

this doesn't work at all on the treo 700w. The sliders are frozen and the automatic gain on the microphone (second tab) all say "0" when you choose disable automatic gain and try to select another value from the drop-down.

Sorry, should have mentioned this is after applying your reg hack as well.

sanjsrik - after u have done the registry hack, u don't not need to move the slider anymore. The slider will remain at 0. The registry hack had change the bass & treble value when u have changed it in the registry.

After u have done the registry hack ... the sound will have improved. This is work for both WM2003SE and also WM5.

i have tested with 2 unit of dopod 818 pro. it works. Thanks. Great modification. Anyone tried other setting than treble 6, bass 10?

Glad to hear that u enjoyed the registry hack. BTW, I'm using the following setting for my XDAII on WM5...

Bass : 16
Treble : 8

excellent when u hearing to house/trance music. !!! currently i'm enjoying Tiesto : In Search of Sunrise 4.... hehhehehe

Today get my dopod buzzer fixed. After that flashed with the latest rom. Unfortunately the registry hack is no more applicable to this new rom. I think dopod purposely do this to avoid user to spoil their buzzer.

tested on Imate JAMin and it is working, the trick is just follow the steps for registry hacking including the soft reset and most importantly do not forgot to connect headphones before opening the registry editor and all will work smoothly..hope it works for all you guys who couldnt make it work before

Hi all,

For user who have the following situation :-
1. Unable to adjust the slider.
2. The sound do not improve after adjust the slider
3. Need to increase the bass/ treble after had increased the slider to max. level.

Following are step by step for the above solutions.
1. Installed the DSP.cab and please open the DSP application.
2. Close the application and soft reset your PDA.
3. Use a registry edit application to tweaked the registry accordingly as per below

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/AdvancedCPL

You shall see ...

Treble (Change the value 6)
Bass (Change the value to 10)

** Cautious - Don't increased the value to high... it might burst the speaker

Hi!

Tried the above with great anticipation but found:
1) My Eten G500 (WM5) was unable to adjust the slider - no prob tried the reg hack
2) Didn't find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/AdvancedCPL entry - no prob created the key with DWORD entries Treble/Bass Dec val 6/10

But despite the above, still no change to the sound.

Able to advise?
Would really appreciate it.

Hi ,

With Ipac Hx 2190 (WM05) i have tried the reg hack and still no change to the sound.
I want this app to work beacause i use Destinator and i want the the voice massages to be more louder.

(Is there any program to raise wav files volume??????)
