hello,

I have searched a long time for this program and nou finally i have found it.
It has been uploaded once before by engager, but it mysteriously "unregistered" itself after 5 minutes... He recommended magicbit dvd ripper deluxe but i think this program is much better than that one. It works easier and you can easily select wich part of the dvd you want to convert so that you don't have to convert the endings and the beginnings...
Pleace lett me know if it worked for you too and tell me what you think about this program or if you use another program that is better, else press the tnx button :) :) :) ...
This is by the way my first real contribution to this site :)

Pocket-DVD Studio 3.5 build 06- Watch DVD on Pocket Pc, Palm Key Features:

Recording speed 3 times faster than any other products, yet providing even better quality
Fully optimized for old and new computers. Blazing fast recording speed not seen anywhere else.

Intuitive design, what you see is what you get
See it yourself. Support smooth aspect ratio control and cropping in both preview and recording mode. Can remove movie black bars completely (works for both DVD and media files). Use range bar visual control to set start and end points for recording.

Flawless recording
Works for all DVD titles including those titles on which other products will fail or have audio problems (e.g. audio cut-out every a few seconds is quite common when using other products).

Easy to get started
Play DVD or other media files in "Pocket DVD Studio". Then click "Start Recording". That's it.
And power features for expert as well
Allow you to change codec, various audio, video setting, split output file to fit on several memory cards. All these settings are easy to use and easy to test. A beginner can easily get started and become an expert soon with the help of our intuitive, friendly user interface.

Pocket-DVD Studio Video Settings for Pocket PC / Palm:

Crop Mode: - The standard resolution of a Pocket PC screen is 320x240. Its aspect ratio (width:height) is lower than widescreen. To let widescreen movies better displayed on a Pocket PC screen, you can choose crop modes based on your personal preference.

Resolution: - Once your crop mode is decided, you can choose a resolution from the list. Larger resolutions require more space in your memory card. For example, 416x240 (100kpixel) usually requires twice the space as 272x160 (44kpixel) requires under the same movie quality.

Aspect Ratio: - For widescreen(16:9) movies, you can stretch the video up to 4:3 in order to remove black spaces shown on top and buttom of the screen. It's a personal preference on how much you want to stretch. Stretching too much will cause people looks tall and thin on the screen. This setting can be used together with the cropping options.

Movie Quality & Size: - To reduce the output size, you can either choose a lower movie quaility or a smaller resolution. Movie quality only degrade where there is fast motion. For cartoon movies or movies without many scenes of violence, a lower movie quality still provides very good quality.

Video Frame Rate: - Known as Frame Per Second (FPS) refers to the number of pictures displayed in 1 second in order to form continuous motions. The default frame rate is 15 fps. You may choose higher fps and increase the output size to get more continous motions.

i think you have maybe installed the wrong version of pocket dvd studio. If you open pocket dvd studio and click on Help/Registration you see an form where you can enter your registration name/serial/emailadress. Above it you will find the version of Pocket dvd studio. In this case it's version 3.5 build 06.

First try to uninstall pocket dvd studio and then go to c:program files/pqDVD... With some versions of pqdvd not everything is uninstalled so you will have to delete this map yourself.
Then install the version of pqdvd provided by me in this tread, and put the crackfile in the same directory as pqdvd... (prob. C:\Program Files\pqDVD\PocketDVDStudio)

lett me know if it workes, tnx

i still cant get it to work.. it says : "Your registration information is not correct". i have done all u said. del the folder in the c:Program files\pdDVD and reinstalled all over again. or it is possible for you to upload the license file thta you have got from them??

thta license file???

im sorry, dont know what u mean...
here's my complete pqdvd folder...

too bad it doesn't work for you, i don't know why. I have tested many
versions of this program because it didn't worked for me also except this one.
I think it's a must have for compressing dvd's to ppc.
Let me know if you find the answer...

maybe you can check the crack. If you put it in the pqdvd folder and click on it, it will patch. Scroll above to find out if the filesize OK is... With other versions the crack won't work because of the size of the .exe file.
Sorry if you don't understand it, english is not one of my best courses...

UPDATE

i will fix it after school, sorry

UPDATE 2

Voila...
(This isn't the original pocket dvd studio, only a installed pocket dvd studio map, for the original one with the crack look above :) )

Have you tested this with WM 5 on 640x480 screen?
Just wondering whether this will work for my Dell Axim x51v

Please bear in mind that this program runson desktop computer (Windows XP, etc.) instead of PPC. Therefore it doesn't matter what screen resolution of your PPC.

Please set the output file to VGA size (640x480) in order to get better display on WM5 VGA devices. Otherwise, you can still play the QVGA (320x240) size on your WM5 VGA mode... just set to full screen display on your player program.

Cheers.

Hi dude,

..just an interesting problem: I have installed the .exe file and then run the "crack" file. During recording I cannot switch to another programm without the recording phase being interrupted. The error note is saying that "PocketDVD.exe has generated error and will be closed by Windows" and "error log is being created".
But when I leave it perform, the recording is finishing without problems.
I have installed windows 2000.
Any idea how can I shoot this problem?
Thx, Petr
